Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), has released Brett Bailey and Diane Rodriguez's World Theatre Day 2014 messages. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft the International Message, which is then translated into more than 20 languages to mark the global occasion. This year, TCG has renewed their tradition of asking a noted U.S. artist to also reflect on the themes of World Theatre Day.

A London premiere from one of the world's most celebrated playwrights, Arthur Miller, Up From Paradise, Miller's only musical, opens at the New Wimbledon Studio on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 (Press night: Wednesday 23rd July at 7.45pm) for a one week limited run.

Gulfshore Playhouse will present American classic, All My Sons by Arthur Miller March 28th through April 19th, with a $25 preview performance on March 27th.

Bloomsbury Publishing, the UK's leading publisher of dramatic texts, is thrilled to announce that L.A. Theatre Works will be joining Drama Online with a new audio collection launching in January, 2015. The addition of 400+ audio files of recorded plays will add another dimension to the 1000+ play texts on the platform, allowing students to engage with the plays as performed as well as read.

The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. The plays will be performed in the round, a transformation of The Old Vic's auditorium first seen for the award-winning 2008 production of The Norman Conquests. The season of productions is supported for the fourth consecutive year by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The Pasadena Playhouse announced Bruce Davison, Sharon Lawrence and RoxAnne Hart to star in A SONG AT TWILIGHT by Noel Coward, the fifth production of its 2013 - 2014 Season. A SONG AT TWILIGHT is performed tonight, March 18 to April 13; the press opening is Sunday, March 23.

NEW DRAMATISTS,Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, proudly announces that they will honor five-time Tony Award winning director/choreographer Susan Stroman with their 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 65th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, to be held Thursday, May 22 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Among the Stroman collaborators offering tributes will be Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines and New York City Ballet's Tiler Peck performing a selection from Little Dancer, Taylor Mac performing a selection from The Last Two People on Earth, Tony nominee Marin Mazzie performing from Bullets Over Broadway; and Contact collaborator John Weidman, and cast members from The Scottsboro Boys.The event co-chairs are Letty Aronson, Roy Furman, and Julian Schlossberg.

Directed by Max Webster, this visually stimulating production uses only Shakespeare's original text to create a condensed version of this madcap tale of mistaken identity designed to entertain and enlighten a younger audience.

Pontiac Theatre IV presents Arthur Miller's The Crucible as the third production of the 2013-2014 season March 21-29, 2014 at Pontiac High School. The Crucible is set during the infamous witch trials of Salem, Mass., and was originally written as an allegory of 1950's McCarthyism. With overarching themes and exploration of intolerance, hysteria, and corruption within a community, the Tony award-winning play remains widely relevant and respected to this day.

On Monday, March 24, 2014, The Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. (Charles Weldon, Artistic Director; Karen Brown, Executive Director) and Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) will unite in a day-long celebration of the life and works of Tony Award-nominated playwright Leslie Lee. Lee passed away in New York City on January 20, 2014.

TimeLine Theatre Company, acclaimed for presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, announces its 2014-15 season, featuring all Chicago premieres, one slot dedicated to two plays presented on alternating nights, and the TimeLine debut of legendary Chicago actor Mike Nussbaum. The Old Globe today announced it will present two Shakespeare-themed events. On Monday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m., Tony Award winner Roger Rees will return to the Globe for a one-night-only engagement of What You Will, his hysterical (and somewhat historical) 90-minute gallop through the world of Shakespeare. On Saturday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m., Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein will offer an encore of Thinking Shakespeare Live!, his 90-minute exploration of the language of Shakespeare. This fast-paced, funny, and altogether fascinating program based on Edelstein's book, Thinking Shakespeare: A How-To Guide for Student Actors, Directors, and Anyone Else Who Wants to Feel More Comfortable with the Bard, reveals a performer's approach to Shakespearean language so audiences may easily understand the poetry of the Bard.

The annual Order of the Golden Sphinx gala was held at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. Heyman's critically acclaimed box office hit Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney received 10 Academy Award nominations and won an outstanding seven Oscars.
