Lauren Yee's new play The Hatmaker's Wife will have its New York premiere directed by recent OBIE Award winner and Drama Desk nominee Rachel Chavkin and produced by critically-acclaimed not-for-profit theatre company The Playwrights Realm, Katherine Kovner, Artistic Director and Renee Blinkwolt, Producing Director. The Hatmaker's Wife begins previews at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, Tuesday, August 27, for an opening Thursday, September 5, at 7:30 pm.

Artistic Director Robert Lyons presents the 20th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2013 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Ice Factory 2013 will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with six new works over six weeks, running from today, June 26 - August 3, 2013.

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) is now accepting applications for Play Group, a vibrant and eclectic group of emerging writers who gather twice a month at Ars Nova to share new work and get peer feedback. The group offers members the chance to develop their plays with peer support; to be inspired by each other's work; to form collaborative relationships; and to build a strong sense of community within Ars Nova. All emerging playwrights are eligible for membership. If selected, new members will be invited to join for a period of two years beginning in January of 2014.

Vernon will be joined on stage by a full band and a cast of Broadway, Off-Broadway, film and television regulars that includes Tony nominee Michael McElroy (Big River, The Wild Party, Rent), Nathan Lee Graham (The Wild Party, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Zoolander), Katie Thompson (Big Fish, Giant), Will Connolly (Once), Derek Klena (Dogfight, Carrie, Wicked), MJ Rodriguez (Rent) and Rania Salem Manganaro (Hit the Wall). The evening will feature songs and narration from the show.

David Abeles to Join THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 as 'Pierre,' Beginning 7/9

David Abeles (Once, Original Cast Member) will take over the role of 'Pierre' in the hit downtown production ofNATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 beginning Tuesday, July 9th. Dave Malloy, the show's creator, will play his final performance as 'Pierre' Friday, June 21st, as he leaves to work on several new projects including commissions from LCT3, San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, and the Youth Musical Theater Company in Berkeley, as well as upcoming shows at the Incubator Arts Project and The Bushwick Starr. From June 22nd through July 7th, the role of 'Pierre' will be played by Luke Holloway.

Beginning this week, there will be $49 tickets available for Wednesday matinees, Saturday early evening performances, and Sunday matinees. Rush tickets can be purchased at the box office of Kazino (West 13th Street and Washington Street) beginning 2 hours prior to the posted curtain time, as well as online at www.thegreatcometof1812.com beginning the day of the performance at 10am by using the code RUSH at check-out. Food and drink is not included with the purchase of a rush ticket.

Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen, and Ted Snowdon have announced that the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty'), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre for a ten-week engagement beginning tonight, June 18, at 7:30pm and opening Monday, June 24.
