Due to tropical storm Joachim, En Garde Arts has postponed BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, to October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present the new play VEILS by Tom Coash, from tonight, October 1, through October 18, with a press opening Sunday, October 4 at 3pm..

At the Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St.), Soho Rep. and Ars Nova will present the New York premiere of Cesar Alvarez's Futurity, a new, avant-Americana musical with music by Alvarez and The Lisps, and lyrics and book by Alvarez. Directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson, the production will feature 13 actor-musicians. The production is presented in association with Carole Shorenstein Hays.

The Playwrights Realm has selected four early-career playwrights for its 2015-16 Writing Fellows program: Sam Chanse, Lauren Feldman, Jonathan Payne, and David Zax.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced additional directors and casting for their 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

Salty Brine announces the premiere of a new a cappella cabaret, Givin' Up Your Heart, as the next installment in his series, Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret.  Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret, which performs on Wednesdays as part of Brine's residency at The Red Room (85 E. 4th St.), explores a different iconic album each month in a live cabaret setting.  Givin' Up Your Heart, inspired by Adele's hit album 21, will run on October 7, 14, 21 and 28 with doors opening at 7:30pm and shows beginning at 8:00pm.

SPARKLE & CIRCULATE with JUSTIN SAYRE - the official monthly podcast of the International Order of Sodomites - has posted its eleventh episode, which features an interview with Brendan Maclean, the acclaimed Australian singer and songwriter. Maclean - hailed as "infectious and hypnotic" by BuzzFeed - discusses his new EP Thought I'd Cry For You Forever, his role in Baz Luhrmann's film The Great Gatsby, his upcoming album with RuPaul's producer Lucian Piane and collaborating with Neil Gaiman on a new song. Also, Justin gives the back story behind his debut novel Husky, released this month from Penguin Books. Pipeline Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of Andrew Farmer's haunting play The Gray Man, tonight, September 24, through October 18 at Walker Space (46 Walker Street between Broadway and Church Street).

This Sunday, September 20, indie folk-rock band The Lobbyists will perform songs from SeaWife - their folk concert play which recently completed a sold-out limited summer engagement at South Street Seaport Museum - and other musical favorites in a one-night-only concert at Joe's Pub. Doors open at 9:00PM for the 9:30PM show, and tickets are available for $15 at publictheater.org.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30 PM to open the Fall 2015 Season. The September 2015 show will feature a celebration of Whitney Houston, with special guests Darius de Haas, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jaime Cepero, Inyang Bassey and others to be announced. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

Multidisciplinary performance group Live Source presents the world premiere of THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS, a new play by Jaclyn Backhaus (Men on Boats). Directed by Tyler Mercer, THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS begins performances on Friday, October 30, 2015 - prior to an official press opening of November 1st - at The New Ohio Theater (154 Christopher Street). Performances continue through Sunday, November 8th. Tickets are priced at $20 ($15 for students and seniors) and will be available online at www.newohiotheatre.org beginning September 28th. The production returns to the New Ohio for its world premiere following a hit, sold-out workshop production during the theater's 2014 Ice Factory Festival.

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

The songwriting team of Will Van Dyke and Jeff Talbott is set to release an EP of their songs called A VIEW OF THE RIVER today, September 15, 2015. They will then follow up the release with a concert of their songs at 54 Below on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 9:30 p.m.
