Yanna Avis makes her Cafe Carlyle debut with a new show, titled In Love with Love which will feature her usual sophisticated European cabaret. The program will be multi-lingual from a variety of influences including Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, Friedrich Hollander and other classics. In Love with Love plays throughMay 16, Thursdays and Fridays at 10:45 p.m. with dusical director David Shenton at the piano, Tony Macelli on bass Rich Mercurio on drums, and Will Holshouser on accordion. Last night, April 8th, producer Marty Richards' feast of friends and loved ones gathered in celebration of his extremely accomplished life at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) where they were entertained by a star-studded retrospective of show-stopping numbers from Mr. Richards' acclaimed Broadway musicals including Chicago, On The Twentieth Century, The Life, Grand Hotel, Sweeney Todd, La Cage Aux Folles, Sweet Smell Of Success, The Will Rogers Follies and Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life. Garrett Lewis, four time Academy Award nominated set decorator, dancer and actor, died Tuesday, January 29 at the age of 77. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1935 and died at his home in Woodland Hills, California of natural causes.

The 19th annual "Living Landmarks" gala was a star-studded event attracting some 450 people to The Plaza ballroom on November 8th. Each year, The New York Landmarks Conservancy recognizes New Yorkers who have made outstanding contributions to the City and honors them as Living Landmarks. This year the honorees are: Daniel Boulud, Robert Caro, Peter L. Malkin, Liza Minnelli, James M. Nederlander, James L. Nederlander, and E. John Rosenwald, Jr. Scroll below for photos from the event!

Nederlander (President) kicked off the 100th anniversary of The Nederlander Organization by becoming the New York Landmark Conservancy's first father/son duo to be named "Living Landmarks," an honor that was bestowed last night at their annual gala at the Plaza Hotel.
