GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, held the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City last night where a host of LGBTQ notables and allies called on the community to fight back against growing anti-LGBTQ attacks, particularly on LGBTQ youth and transgender Americans. GLAAD also announced recipients for 16 of this year’s 30 categories for the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Additional categories were announced in Los Angeles on April 2 and a full list is available below.

Ariana DeBose fue conocida en el mundo del teatro musical en 2011, donde debutó en el musical BRING IT ON interpretando a Náutica. The Tony Awards Administration Committee will present the 2022 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre to five outstanding contributors to the Broadway industry - the Asian American Performers Action Coalition (AAPAC); Broadway For All; music copyist, Emily Grishman; Feinstein's/54 Below and United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829, IATSE.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today to confirm the eligibility status of fifteen Broadway productions for the 2021-2022 season.  This was the third and final time the Tony Awards Administration Committee met to decide the eligibility for the 75th Annual Tony Awards.

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Broadway has found a Tonys host in Ariana DeBose! The Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee will host the 75th Annual Tony Awards from the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

The Tony Awards announced today that Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee, Ariana DeBose (West Side Story, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical) will host the 75th Annual Tony Awards from the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 12, 2022 (8:00 – 11:00 PM, LIVE ET/5:00 – 8:00 PM, LIVE PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+. 

It's the first Monday in May and the stars were out in full force for this year's Met Gala to benefit the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 

Today, drummer, vocalist, and composer Bryan Carter released his rendition of the Burt Bacharach & Carol Beyer Seger-penned composition “Making Love.” The song is the third single from Carter’s upcoming LP I Believe, due out June 2022 via La Reserve Records. “It was, and will always be, a very special song to me” Carter told Jazziz. Listen to “Making Love” by Bryan Carter. 

Michael R. Jackson will appear in a special performance from his Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “A Strange Loop' during the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The awards will also feature Ariana DeBose presenting an honor to Judith Light, Wilson Cruz receiving the Vito Russo Award, a performance from Dove Cameron, and more.

Ariana DeBose has been announced to executive produce and star in Two and Only, a new romantic comedy written by Jen Rivas-DeLoose. The new film is being produced as a star vehicle for DeBose, described as 'My Best Friend’s Wedding with a bisexual Latinx POV.'

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present “WRITE OUT LOUD: From Contest to Concert VOLUME 3.” Hosted by Taylor Louderman (Tony Nominee, Mean Girls), Musical Direction by Benjamin Rauhala (Disney Princess - The Concert) and produced by Hannah Kloepfer and Sarah Glugatch with Josh Collopy.
