Giving Tuesday is the official launch of the holiday giving season.  In 2020, Williamston Theatre is presenting its fourth annual Giving Tuesday Play-A-Thon on Tuesday, December 1 starting at 11:00am.

BY REQUEST: A FARMERS ALLEY FUNDRAISER Premiering November 19th on the streaming platform Broadway On Demand, BY REQUEST: A  FARMERS ALLEY FUNDRAISER was compiled from votes made by the theatre's longtime fans and  patrons. Streaming thru November 29th this carefully curated concert will feature your favorite songs,  scenes and never-before-seen archival footage from some of our most beloved productions. There are  three different digital ticket packages that our patrons can choose from and each includes a ticket to  enjoy this event - straight from the comfort of their home via Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku,  smartphone, tablet or computer. 

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, The Ringwald Theatre takes its annual Gay Arts Festival, Gay4Detroit, to the streaming world. This move will allow The Ringwald to keep creating content for its audiences and will allow the theatre to maintain a revenue stream during these unprecedented times.

To launch the season of giving, the Williamston Theatre gives back! We'll be presenting readings of six plays a?" an entire season in a day. Readings begin at 10am and run through 10pm. The public is invited to come for one play, or stay for them all. This event is FREE and open to the public, no reservations are necessary. Information will be available in our lobby on several local charities doing amazing work in our community.

Kickshaw Theatre, Ann Arbor's pop-up professional theatre, will stage three full productions for their 2019-20 season, their 5th since the company's founding in 2015. In addition, Kickshaw will present three one-night-only events with special performances and opportunities to support the non-profit theatre. Mid-Michigan's award-winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, finishes out Lucky Season 13 with the hilarious Popcorn Falls by James Hindman.  Performances begin Thursday, June 20 and run through Sunday, July 28.  Tickets are now on sale.

Popcorn Falls, playing now through May 5th at Tipping Point Theatre in Northville, is a fast-paced comedy that will keep the audience on their toes throughout the entire performance. The town of Popcorn Falls is in trouble as their signature waterfall has dried up and they are losing more money each day. The play's antagonist, Mr. Doyle, is threatening to turn this small town into a water treatment facility. There is one way to save the town: put on a successful play in one week. Hilarity ensues as the mayor of the town and the town's executive custodian, along with a cast of misfit townsfolk, attempt to pull off this play in an impossible time frame.

Kickshaw Theatre presents The Ding Dongs, or What Is The Penalty In Portugal? a comedy thriller by Brenda Withers, March 28 through April 14, 2019, at trustArt Studios in Ann Arbor.

The World Premiere of Steven Simoncic's hilarious and poignant story about Detroit, Ghost Gardens, will have an Opening Night Champagne Celebration on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Detroit Repertory Theatre at 8:30 pm. Patrons will gather in the elegant lobby gallery of the Theatre after the show with the playwright, cast and crew. Tickets are $17 in advance and may be purchased by calling the Theatre at (313) 868-1347. On Tuesday, November 28 the Williamston Theatre will hold a marathon of staged readings of six plays. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are welcomed to attend all or individual readings. Gracie's Contemporary Bistro in Williamston is a sponsor of the event.

Williamston Theatre will kick off its Eleventh Season with Pulp, a brand new play by Michigan Playwright Joseph Zettelmaier and part of the National New Play Network's Rolling World Premiere program.  Performances begin Thursday, September 22 and run through Sunday, October 23.  Tickets for this who-dun-it-science-fiction caper are now on sale.
