Terri Conn, Anthony Rapp & More Set for DELETED SCENES Reading Today
by BWW News Desk - Jun 10, 2013

Tonight, June 10th, 2013 at 7pm, Terri Conn (As the World Turns), Anthony Rapp (RENT) and Patrick James Lynch (Stop The Bleeding!) will lead a benefit reading of 'Deleted Scenes' at The Mainstage Theater, 416 W 42nd Street. Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Hemophilia Association of New York.Lynch, a severe hemophiliac, and his company organized the event in an effort to raise not only money for hemophilia, but also awareness of the disorder. Said Lynch, 'It's an excellent opportunity to bring together two communities that may otherwise not find each other.' Lynch lost a sibling to complications from hemophilia in 2007 and has since worked to better integrate outreach & advocacy with entertainment. 'Deleted Scenes' observes two ex-friends forced to reunite to record the director's commentary track for their hit indie film five years after the film's release. Josh (Lynch) is now a star and writer/director Brian (Rapp) is floundering. When Brian's ex Madison (Conn) shows up unexpectedly, tensions rise and old rivalries spill over into the studio.

BWW Review: The Lower Ossington Theatre's RENT
by Brittany Goldfield Rodrigues - May 8, 2013

Rent is Jonathan Larson's musical about a group of friends struggling to make ends meet. In his critically acclaimed show, he tells the story of love, loss, and struggle. Larson tells the story through the experiences and relationships of his colorful and complex characters whom audiences have grown to know and love. In the Lower Ossington Theatre's production of this award winning show, these iconic characters are portrayed to a tee. The production manages to stay true to the legendary show while also taking artistic license. While elements of the show, especially characterization, mirrors the original, the main place where artistic license is taken is with the character of Roger.
