Carlos de Abreu, founder and executive producer of the 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards, announced today that Matthew McConaughey, who starred this year to critical acclaim in Roadside Attractions' 'Mud' and Focus Features' 'Dallas Buyers Club,' will be honored with the Hollywood Actor Award.

Italy's Dario D'Ambrosi is a radical innovator of the theater and founder of the movement called Teatro Patologico (Pathological Theater). Having staged revolutionary interpretations of 'Richard III' in 1996 and 'Romeo and Juliet' in 2009, he is now taking on 'Hamlet' with a new full-length work, 'Hamlet Hallucinations.' La MaMa E.T.C., D'Ambrosi's theatrical home in the USA, will present the work's world premiere October 17 to November 3.

The multi-hyphenated Woody Allen will be honored with the 2014 Cecil B. DeMille Award and will be paid tribute to at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 12, 2014, LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC with the pre-show from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (PST)/7:00-8:00 p.m. (EST), and main telecast from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (PST)/8:00-11:00 p.m. (EST) from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was announced today by Theo Kingma, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

The Elios Charitable Foundation announced today the program and honorees for the highly anticipated 9th Hellenic Charity Ball, to be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Westin St. Francis on Union Square (335 Powell Street, San Francisco). One of San Francisco's most star-studded events, the biennial gala pays tribute to distinguished arts and entertainment luminaries in the Greek-American community and is the principal source of funding for the Elios Charitable Foundation.
