According to Variety, Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman recently commented on a potential movie version of 'South Park' creators' Trey Parker and Matt Stone's hit Broadway musical The Book of Mormon. Viacom owns Comedy Central, which airs 'South Park'.

The producers of the national tour of the new musical THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh announce that single tickets will go on sale today, December 14, 2012 at 9 AM for the Pittsburgh engagement. According to the Chicago Tribune, American Idol finalist Syesha Mercado has joined the cast of The Book of Mormon in Chicago and will be playing the featured role of 'Nabulungi'. Stephanie Umoh previously played the role. No details have been released on why she left.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Broadway favorite Matt Doyle will join the cast of Broadway's the Book of Mormon as 'Elder Price.' Doyle replaces Nic Rouleau, who on December 11 will leave to star in the second national tour, launching in Chicago.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that two-time Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane will head the cast of its upcoming production of THE NANCE, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane to be directed by Jack O'Brien. The production will begin previews on Thursday, March 21 and open on Monday, April 15 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45 Street).
