Berkshire Theatre Festival's THE LAST FIVE YEARS To Star Reiber, Stewart 6/22-7/10

Julie Reiber and Paul Anthony Stewart will be kicking off the 2010 Main Stage season in The Last Five Years. Written and composed by Jason Robert Brown and directed by Anders Cato, this musical tells the story of the relationship of Jamie and Cathy in a unique way: Cathy starts the show at the end of the relationship and moves back through to the start, whereas Jamie begins at the couple's first meeting and moves forward through time. This unique and touching musical features incredible music and an intimate look at two people seeking nothing more than love.

2010 Berkshire Theatre Festival to Include Atkinson, Rando, Easton et al.

Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire has announced the schedule for the 2010 Berkshire Theatre Festival season. This season features one world premiere, two musicals, and multiple classics from the theatrical canon. Critically-acclaimed directors David Auburn, Anders Cato, Kyle Fabel, Wes Grantom, Eric Hill, John Rando, and E. Gray Simons III will be charged with bringing this season of theatre that matters to life. Among the actors appearing this year in Stockbridge are Jayne Atkinson, David Chandler, Jeremy Davidson, Richard Easton, Michel Gill, and Randy Harrison.

Emmy-nominated Paul Anthony Stewart stars as Raskolnikov in a gripping 90-minute adaptation of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment at The Cleveland Play House. In addition to numerous New York and regional theatre roles, Stewart, who was nominated for his recurring role on 'Guiding Light,' recently appeared on Broadway in the revivals of Fiddler on the Roof and Cyrano - The Musical. Performed with only three actors, the adaptation of Crime and Punishment by Marilyn Campbell and Cut Columbus is being helmed by the acclaimed director of the 2005 Play House production of I Am My Own Wife, Anders Cato. Crime and Punishment begins in the Drury Theatre at The Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 27 and runs through Sunday, March 22, 2009. George Street Playhouse continues their 35th season with the New Jersey premiere of Conor McPherson's Olivier Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated play, The Seafarer. Broadway's Jekyll & Hyde Robert Cuccioli, last seen in New Jersey in the20NJ Shakespeare Festival's production of Amadeus heads an ensemble including David Adkins (from GSP's A Walk in the Woods), Matthew Boston (NJ Shakespeare Festival's Julius Cesar), William Hill (from Steppenwolf's Broadway production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and David Schramm (from TV's Wings). Anders Cato, who has directed Playhouse productions of I Am My Own Wife, Souvenir and Doubt, returns to helm. The Seafarer begins its voyage onstage beginning November 18 and continues through December 14.
