At this time, Goodspeed Musicals regrets to inform you that, due to her recent injuries on the set of "The Good Wife," Kristin Chenoweth will not be able to attend their gala, as she is at home recuperating. However, the show will go on as planned, with Broadway, film, and television star Alan Cumming accepting the award in her absence and a Special Tribute Performance by Tony- and Grammy-nominated composer Andrew Lippa. They will be joined by Goodspeed alums Kirsten Wyatt (Gooch in Goodspeed's Mame) and Khris Lewin (Goodspeed's My One and Only.)

Earlier this month it was announced that WEST WING star and Emmy Award winner Richard Schiff will return to Broadway in the upcoming revival of David Mamet's acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning drama GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. Schiff will star alongside Al Pacino, Bobby Cannavale, David Harbour, and Jeremy Shamos in the show.
Schiff was one of many Broadway veterans to star in the long-running NBC drama, and though the show aired its final episode in 2006, last week's poll asked what other stars you'd like to see return to the stage. Your response was Allison Janney, with a whopping (54%) of the vote.
Ben Toth and Sam Forman to Write Music for SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE Musical

According to Deadline.com, Ben Toth and Sam Forman have signed on to write the music and lyrics for the Broadway-bound SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE Musical. Previously announced Lonny Price will direct the show, which is set to have its world premiere at The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Charles Dillingham, Interim Executive Director) in June, 2013.

As previously reported, Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 is headed to the West End, with an opening night set for October 16 at the Manchester Opera House. The Daily Mail announces today that Jackie Clune will play 'Violet,' alongside Bonnie Langford as 'Roz,' Natalie Casey as 'Judy,' Ben Richards as 'Franklin Hart' and Amy Lennox as 'Doralee.'

Harold G. Baldridge will retire this summer after 32 years as Executive Director of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. The faculty, staff and Board of Directors gathered at the school on East 54th Street in New York City today to wish Baldridge well.
