It was announced today that Academy Award winning producer Cathy Schulman ("Crash") will receive an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Dodge College's commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 24, where Schulman will deliver the keynote address.

The Television Academy today announced this year's honorees for the Seventh Annual Television Academy Honors. For using the power of television to bring awareness to important social issues, this year's honorees include The Big C: hereafter, Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor, The Fosters, Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God, Mom, Screw You Cancer and Vice.

According to Deadline, Allison Janney has signed on to join SPY, starring Melissa McCarthy and written and directed by Paul Feig.

Bay Street Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of CONVICTION (May 27-June 15) by Carey Crim and directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's new Artistic Director. MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala, one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town, was held last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom. At the event, Broadway's hottest stars performed songs from roles in which they would never be cast. This year's event was hosted by award-winning actress Allison Janney.
