PBS announced today its slate of Winter/Spring 2014 programs, including the long-awaited return of MASTERPIECE 'Sherlock, Season 3'

Angelique Kidjo, the Benin born, Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter has signed with 429 Records and is gearing up for an incredible 2014.

Fans of summer's top-rated TV show America's Got Talent will have an opportunity to experience their favorite Season 8 acts when the America's Got Talent Live Tour comes to the MGM Grand Garden Arena tonight, Oct. 23. Scheduled to appear in more than 30 cities nationwide, the tour will bring the acts that wowed America to Las Vegas, allowing fans to experience the very best talent from the TV show up-close-and-personal.

Harking back to WWI, PBS presents Silent Night, a poignant opera based on the Christmas Eve truce of 1914, when French, German and Scottish soldiers laid down their arms for one evening of peace.

The captivating, dreadlocked, Israeli-born Idan Raichel, who blends ancient Hebrew texts with pop, fusion and world music, returns to the Jorgensen stage Saturday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. in a rousing Dance Cabaret. The Idan Raichel Project first came to UConn last February, as guests of UConn Hillel, which will co-sponsor the return engagement. Known for a diverse combination of music, cultures and styles, Raichel is a household name in Israel and beyond, having sold half a million records worldwide.

The one and only Cher revealed that she will kick off her 49-city North American Tour Dressed To Kill in March and make a stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Sunday, May 25.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic in a celebration of the centennial of English composer, conductor, and pianist Benjamin Britten. The program will include Britten's Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings, featuring tenor Paul Appleby and Philharmonic Principal Horn Philip Myers, and Britten's Spring Symphony, with soprano Kate Royal (in her Philharmonic debut), mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke (Philharmonic subscription debut), tenor Paul Appleby, New York Choral Artists directed by Joseph Flummerfelt, and Brooklyn Youth Chorus directed by Dianne Berkun-Menaker. The concerts, which include a performance on the composer's 100th birthday, November 22, will take place Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m.
