Shepherd's production of Vintage Hitchcock: A Radio Play by Joe Landry will be live streamed on April 9 and 10 at 7pm and April 11 at 1pm. All performances are free.

Theater J, located in Washington, DC's Jewish Community Center focuses its work on celebrating and bringing light to the Jewish culture and its people. Anna Ziegler's The Wanderers is no exception to this mission. This is the fourth Ziegler play that Theater J has produced and its one that is sure to spark conversation, make the audience think deeply about the characters, and even toys with one's own emotions and thoughts on their own lives.

The Wanderers by Anna Ziegler begins performances in the renovated Aaron and Cecile Goldman Theater at the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center on February 19, 2020 and continues through March 15, 2020. Theater J's DC premiere will be directed by Amber McGinnis. The press is invited to Opening Night on Monday, February 24 at 7:30 PM.

There are some topics in which you hope plays conquer correctly. Topics that include dark parts of history such as the holocaust sit at the top of that list. Luckily, Alix Sobler's remarkable script and Theater J's impressive production of Sheltered, honors the topic, the people, and the story.

Sheltered, by Alix Sobler begins performances at Theater J in the renovated Aaron and Cecile Goldman Theater at the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center on January 9, 2020 and continues through February 2, 2020. Set in the US and in Vienna in 1939, Sheltered is a suspenseful story about one couple's bold act of resistance. Theater J's DC premiere will be directed by Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr. Today's subject Alexander Strain is living testament to the old adage that you can come home again. You probably remember Alexander from his many wonderful performances all over town at places like Theater J and Round House Theatre. Recently he took a break from acting to get his Masters in Psychology and many of his fans myself included were wondering if he would ever return to the stage.

Olney Theatre Center's SummerFest, its annual open house, happens Saturday, July 27 beginning at 11:00am with events continuing all day and late into the evening. Theater J Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr and Managing Director Jojo Ruf announce the 2019-2020 season, welcoming home audiences to a beautiful and refreshed theater located in the newly renovated Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center on 16th Street. The season includes four plays and one musical, all being produced for the first time in DC, as well as the triumphant return of a recent Theater J hit. From an intoxicating new musical set in Tel Aviv based on the Song of Songs to the late-career masterpiece by multiple Pulitzer Prize-winner Edward Albee, Theater J's season celebrates journeys of every kind with a provocative and ambitious slate of plays. Of the six shows, three have future runs: two in New York City and one at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

Personal handheld closed captioning devices are available at every performance

Everyman Theatre has announced that it will be performing five ASL-interpreted performances of Nina Raine's award-winning play Tribes. The theatre company will also be offering captioned performances for the first time. There will be two captioned performances during the run of the show. The Baltimore premiere is a hysterical and touching coming-of-age story about a young deaf man and his struggle for self-identity. The production will begin performances on May 27th (its Pay What You Can Performance) and will run through June 22nd.
