Kathryn Rossetter to Join Adam LeFevre in MR. LANDING TAKES A FALL, Begin. 9/12

Kathryn Rossetter, who appeared on Broadway opposite Dustin Hoffman in Death Of a Salesman and is currently head of the MFA Acting Program at the New School for Drama, will join Adam LeFevre (Broadway's Footloose, Mamma Mia, Guys and Dolls) in the World Premiere of MR. LANDING TAKES A FALL, an absurdist comedy by Sari Caine. Inspired by Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the play was a PlayPenn 2013 semi-finalist and short-listed for both the 24/7 (UK) and the Ronald Duncan Award (UK). It is produced by Slightly Altered States Theater Company and directed by Sherri Eden Barber. Previews begin September 12 at The Flea Theater with opening slated for Monday, September 22. (more...)

2014 SOLO COLLECTIVE to Feature THE STORYTELLER and More; Runs 9/7-28

After a wildly successful first year, Paul Stein and THE SOLO COLLECTIVE (L.A.'s only Solo Collective company) in residence at VS. THEATRE COMPANY is thrilled to announce its second annual SOLO COLLECTIVE, with three solo shows performing this Fall: Opening with the World Premiere of Antonio Sacre's THE STORYTELLER; a special return engagement of Drew Droege's BRIGHT PATTERNS AND BOLD COLORS and closing with the world premiere of Carla Cackowski's GAL INVINCIBLE. Antonio Sacre in THE STORYTELLER, directed by Paul Stein, will preview on Sunday, September 7 and will open on Friday, September 12 at 8pm and run through Sunday, September 28 at the new home of VS. David Schwimmer, John Pollono & More Will Join MCC Theater for 2014 Playlab Reading Series

MCC THEATER has announced the 2014 PlayLabs reading series, which will feature new works in development by playwrights Stephen Belber, John Pollono, and Will Snider. "Friends" alum David Schwimmer, currently represented off-Broadway with his direction of the critically-acclaimed hit Sex with Strangers, is set to direct Belber's Shut Up When You Talk to Me. Pollono's Lost Girls will be directed by MCC alum Jo Bonney, who also directed MCC's hit production of Pollono's Small Engine Repair. Snider's How to Use a Knife will be helmed by Kareem Fahmy. Readings will be held on September 15th, September 29th, and October 6th, respectively, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). All readings are at 7pm. Playwrights Horizons Welcomes New Director of Marketing

After a national search, Playwrights Horizons announced today the appointment of Kyle Sircus as the institution's new Director of Marketing. Beginning Monday, September 22, Mr. Sircus will join the acclaimed theater company direct from Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, CA, where he currently serves as Marketing Manager, a position created especially for him in July 2012. Mr. Sircus will lead the theater company's seven-person Marketing Department. (more...)

Kaminski, who most recently taught acting at Cornish College of the Arts, has appeared as an actor and solo performer throughout Seattle and beyond, including roles at the Rep in My Name is Rachel Corrie (2007) and Clybourne Park (2012).
