A feast for the eyes and ears, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra pairs a majestic look at our planet with glorious music of John Adams and Richard Strauss during the BNY Mellon Grand Classics weekend, beginning today, June 10 and continuing June 12.

Madison Lyric Stage, now in its fifth year of bringing professional theatrical experiences to the Shoreline, will present the musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice on July 14, 15, 16 and 21, 22, 23 at the First Church of Christ Scientist, Guilford located at 49 Park Street on the historic Guilford Green.  All shows are at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are $30 and can be reserved by visiting www.madisonlyricstage.com or calling 203-779-5258. PITTSBURGH – A feast for the eyes and ears, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra pairs a majestic look at our planet with glorious music of John Adams and Richard Strauss during the BNY Mellon Grand Classics weekend on June 10 and 12. 

?Lawyers and judges, who are more commonly heard in the courtroom, will be on the stage of Walt Disney Concert Hall making music together in perfect harmony while raising funds for those who cannot afford legal services. Founder-Conductor Gary S. Greene, Esq. will lead the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and its chorus, Legal Voices, dubbed "LA's Only Legal Orchestra & Chorus," in their 7th Annual Concert Extraordinaire on Saturday evening, June 18 at Disney Hall (111 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles 90012). The Sherman Brothers' memorable Disney music and works by composers Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein will highlight the evening, with Legendary Songwriter Richard M. Sherman as a special guest.

The month of June is filled with a wide variety of performances from the Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, beginning with Philip Glass' Violin Concerto No. 2, 'The American Four Seasons,' composed for and played by Robert McDuffie on June 2 and 4, at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

In honor of National Military Appreciation Month, the San Antonio Symphony will be offering a 50 percent discount off tickets for all current and former members of the military and their family to attend the Patriotic Pops concerts on May 13-14 at 8 p.m. and May 15 at 2 p.m. at the Tobin Center.

On May 11, 2016, dancers from the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University will be the first to perform Martha Graham's iconic choreography for APPALACHIAN SPRING with a new version of Aaron Copland's score for full orchestra, completed in collaboration with the Martha Graham Dance Company and the Aaron Copland Fund for Music.

Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO) executive director Kris Sinclair will be presented with the League of American Orchestras' highest honor, the Gold Baton, at the League's National Conference in Baltimore, June 9-11. Sinclair, who is retiring this year after thirty-one years at ACSO's helm, will receive the award at the League's Annual Meeting, June 10, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.
