The Hanover Theatre and WICN Radio, in collaboration with The Theatre District Alliance, will present Jazz at Sunset, featuring rising superstar Grace Kelly. Friday, July 21, the area behind The Hanover Theatre will be transformed into an outdoor, picnic-style concert venue for the 6:30 p.m. concert. The experience of traveling to a new country and making a home in Colonial America are the topics of songs written by fifth grade students at Betty Plasencia Elementary School in Los Angeles and Huntington Park Elementary School in Huntington Park as part of the Los Angeles Master Chorale's Voices Within arts education program.  The songs will receive their premiere performances on Tuesday, May 23 at Betty Plasencia and Wednesday, May 24 at Huntington Park. Titled A CELEBRATION OF SONG, the evening will honor three of the company's exceptional alumni writers: Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens and Far From Heaven at Playwrights), Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens and Far From Heaven at Playwrights) and Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife and Grey Gardens at Playwrights).
