The award-winning CAP21 Theatre Company will open its 2015 season with the first production of a new musical, THE ARTIST & THE SCIENTIST, with book and lyrics by Jenny Stafford, music by Brandon Anderson, and story by Jenny Stafford and Brandon Anderson. It is a love story exploring the conflicting ways in which we each see the world and the fears we have of losing ourselves in other people. THE ARTIST & THE SCIENTIST will play a limited run from February 4 -28, 2015 at the CAP21 Theatre, 18 West 18th Street, 5th Floor, New York. (more...)

Kevin's seemingly perfect world hits troubled waters in this 'wickedly funny' play (Variety) when his ne'er-do-well sister, Donna and her teenage daughter show up unexpectedly at the Sag Harbor home he shares with his husband, Ted. The ASCAP Foundation Awards Ceremony was held at The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Broadwayworld was there. This years recipient of the Masters Award was composer John Corigliano. Mr. Corigliano has also won fiver Grammy's a Pulitzer Prize the Grawemeyer Award and an Academy Award for his many scores and compositions. Rupert Holmes, Composer, Playwright, lyricist, mystery novelist, arranger-conductor, screenwriter, record producer and singer-songwriter received the Foundations George M. Cohan Award which is made possible by the Friars Foundation. (more...)

Producer Eva Price announced today that The Lion, the gripping, autobiographical solo show written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, will play an extended engagement Off-Broadway this winter, following an award-winning run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and sold-out productions at the Manhattan Theatre Club and London's St. James Theatre. The Lion, directed by Sean Daniels, begins previews at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street) on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, with an official opening night set for Sunday, February 8, 2015.
