Robert Moon BIO

Robert is an actor, writer, and filmmaker living in Los Angeles, California. Among his theater credits, he most recently created the role of Konstantyn in the world premier of the new musical, Tsarina, as well as served as a script advisor. He also created the roles of Stiltz in Stiltz! the Musical and Lance in Polyester: the Musical, the latter published by Samuel French. Other recent roles include Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, John Utterson in Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical, Captain Shultz in Miss Saigon, and Private Mavole in the Ovation-nominated The Manchurian Candidate at the Production Company’s Chandler Studio Theatre. Having previously taught and directed comedy improvisation, most recently at ACME Comedy Theatre, Robert is now a senior at Cal State Northridge, majoring in film and television production. His senior thesis project, the motion picture musical Napoleon Heights, is currently in preproduction.

SFGMC Presents Annual Benefit CRESCENDO VOICES RISING


Today, San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) Artistic Director Dr. Timothy Seelig and Executive Director Chris Verdugo announced CrescendoVoices Rising, SFGMC's annual benefit honoring extraordinary individuals who tirelessly champion and promote LGBTQ+ equality. Presented by The Ariadne Getty Foundation, the virtual event will take place on Thursday, April 22 at 6 p.m. PDT. Funds raised at this year's gala will help sustain SFGMC and support its youth outreach programs.

The Palm Canyon Theatre And PS Gay Men's Chorus Join Forces For SOME ENCHANTED EVENING In The Desert


The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) and Palm Canyon Theatre (PCT) join theatrical forces on Sunday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. as they bring an enchanted evening of 'The Best Of Rodgers And Hammerstein' to the desert to benefit both organizations. This cast for includes two-time Emmy® nominated actress and singer Bobbie Eakes along with the vocal talents of desert favorites Theresa Jewett, Charles Herrera, and Keisha D, who will perform numbers written and composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Members of the Palm Canyon Theatre Company will sing selections from Oklahoma!  the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus will present  'There is Nothing Like a Dame' from South Pacific, 'We Kiss in a Shadow' from The King and I and 'Boys and Girls Like You and Me' from State Fair.  The concert will be followed by a reception under the stars.

SING WITH US! The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus Holds Auditions For Its 20th Season


Leading into its 20th Season, the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) will be holding open call auditions August 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mizell Senior Center, 480 South Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. This special evening of camaraderie will also be an opportunity to volunteer and get involved with one of the chorus' many committees. Interested singers can also attend open rehearsals on August 14 and 21 at 7:00 p.m. to experience what it is like to perform with the chorus and meet its members.

BWW Reviews: TSARINA The Musical - Full of Potential


I usually choose not to review workshop productions, but, in regard to Deborah Johnson's Tsarina, breaking the rule proved worthwhile. The show has such great potential. It's incredible to think that other composers have not seized the opportunity to write a musical play about this most vibrant time frame of Russian history culminating in the Bolshevik revolution and in 1917 the downfall of Nicholas (Patrick Dillon Curry) and Alexandra (Kelly Derouin), the last czars in Russia.
