FLIPSIDE: THE PATTI PAGE STORY at UCO Broadway Tonight offers an incredibly fun and poignant look at the life, legacy, and music of Patti Page.

Angelica Page stands quietly stage left and watches a home movie of herself on a giant rear screen. She sees a seemingly innocent little girl running around and playing with her mother Geraldine Page. When the film is over, she steps forward ever so slowly into the spotlight and addresses the audience fearlessly, 'My mother is haunting me.' At that precise moment, we sense we are in good hands. The family talent assuredly has rubbed off on Angelica Page, and we are in for a brilliantly honed theatrical evening.

Flipside: The Patti Page Musical has teamed with internationally respected theater management firm to send the story of Patti Page Story on the road. The musical will make a stop at the Marcus Center's Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall on April 8-10 as part of the Off Broadway at the Marcus Center series. Venetia Stifler, Executive and Artistic Director of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, has announced the Newberry Library as the 2014 recipient of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts Distinguished Service Award. Presented for the first time in 2013, the Distinguished Service Award is given to an individual or organization that demonstrates extraordinary service and leadership in advancing the mission of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. Newberry President David Spadafora will be presented with this award at the annual Ruth Page Center for the Arts Gala held Saturday, May 10 at the Chicago Yacht Club, 400 E. Monroe St.
