California Symphony announces the World Premiere of the third and final commission for California Symphony by Young American Composer-in-Residence Viet Cuong (2020-2023) will be a piano concerto (title TBD), to be performed May 20–21, 2023 in Fresh Inspirations, the orchestra's momentous season finale concert. It was further announced this new work will feature nationally acclaimed pianist Sarah Cahill as the guest soloist.

On Friday, July 16, 2021 at 8pm PT, Sarah Cahill will return to Old First Concerts to perform selections from her project, The Future is Female. This is a hybrid concert – seating is limited to 100 people at Old First Church and general admission is $25.

On Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 7pm, Le Poisson Rouge will present California-based pianist Sarah Cahill, 'a brilliant and charismatic advocate for modern and contemporary composers' (Time Out New York), in a concert celebrating the hundredth birthday of maverick composer Lou Harrison with a wide range of his music spanning half a century: exuberant dance music from his early years, dissonant complexity from the 1940s, and lyrical works from the 1980s, as well as music by his close friends and colleagues including Henry Cowell, John Cage, Johanna Beyer, James Cleghorn, and Frank Wigglesworth.

In celebration of composer Lou Harrison's 2017 centennial, “sterling pianist and intrepid illuminator of the classical avant-garde” (The New York Times) Sarah Cahill will perform concerts of his music spanning half a century – exuberant dance music from his early years, dissonant complexity from the 1940s, and substantial works from the 1980s – as well as music by his close friends and colleagues including Henry Cowell, John Cage, Johanna Beyer, Merton Brown, James Cleghorn, and Frank Wigglesworth in a nationwide tour to cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Cleveland, Orlando, Maui, Chicago, and more. Her concerts will range from solo piano recitals featuring unpublished works by Harrison to performances of Harrison's Piano Concerto to chamber performances with well-known Harrison collaborators and scholars, including percussionist William Winant, who premiered the Varied Trio with Harrison.

The five-time Grammy-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus will close its2013-2014 35th season with a special concert of music by Eastern European composers and guest artists Joe Goode Performance Group and pianists Kanoko Nishi and Sarah Cahill Today, June 14, at 8 pm at Nourse Theatre in San Francisco. The program, entitled Rites and Passages and conducted by Girls Chorus Music Director Valerie Sainte-Agathe, will feature Bartok's Three Village Scenes performed as a suite with original dance interpolations created by Joe Goode and performed by members of his acclaimed Joe Goode Performance Group. The Chorus will be joined by guest pianists Kanoko Nishi and Sarah Cahill for Nishi's new two-piano arrangement of Scenes 1 and 3 from Stravinsky's Les Noces and will go a cappella for Stravinsky'sFour Russian Peasant Songs. Completing the program will be Smetana's Three Choruses for Female Voice. The evening also includes Leo Ornstein's innovative Piano Quintet, Op. 92.

The works of some of America's most important composers will be heard in a rare program that joins music with audio and video interviews from the archives of the Oral History of American Music (OHAM) project at Yale. Founded by Vivian Perlis, one of the foremost historians of American music, OHAM is dedicated to collecting and preserving audio and video memoirs of notable figures in American music.
