Each show premieres virtually on Friday at 7:30pm ET (July 9, July 23 & August 13). After the Friday premiere the stream will be available On Demand for four days - then disappears. Reservations are required to receive a link and password.
PTP/NYC is known for producing politically aware plays. They present theatrically complex and thought-provoking works of contemporary social and cultural relevance. For their abbreviated season this year, they are streaming four productions over four weeks. The second one, Don't Exaggerate (desire and abuse), certainly fits the bill. Prolific playwright David Greig has a varied catalogue of work ranging from the recently revived Europe to West End hit Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and his acclaimed adaptation of Touching the Void. He is also Artistic Director of Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Theatre. Greig's first original play in 7 years Adventures with the Painted People was due to begin its run in Edinburgh this summer but has since been adapted for radio due to the pandemic.
