?The Denver Center for the Performing Arts together with the Weeks' family will hold a Celebration of Life to honor Randy Weeks, DCPA President and Broadway Executive Director. The memorial will be held Monday, November 3 at 4pm Mountain Time on the stage of The Buell Theatre.

Tonight, October 10, 2014, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts will dim its lights, freeze its marquees and observe a moment of silence in tribute to the passing of DCPA President Randy Weeks, on October 9. This evening's show will also be dedicated to Weeks.

Randy Weeks, President of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) and Executive Director of its Broadway touring division, died today, Thursday, October 9, 2014. He was 59.

In its third year, The Bobby G Awards expands to accept Colorado public and private high schools presenting a musical between September 10, 2014 and April 26, 2015. Registration opens August 18, 2014. The Bobby G Awards, the Colorado awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards, recognizes outstanding achievements in all areas of musical production including design, music, performance and direction. Ryan McCartan, 2011 Jimmy Award winner, will host the 2-hour talent showcase that features dynamic ensemble and solo performances.

Denver Center Attractions announces the 2014 recipients for The Bobby G Awards - the Colorado regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards. Conner Kingsley and Abby Noble, the 2014 Bobby G Award recipients of the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, will represent Colorado at The National High School Musical Theater Awards in New York. Conner Kingsley played Igor in Lakewood High School's production of Young Frankenstein. Abby Noble played Gertrude McFuzz in Grandview High School's production of Seussical.

Denver Center Attractions previously announced the 2014 nominees for The Bobby G Awards - the Colorado regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards. The awards ceremony, tonight, May 29 at 7pm at The Buell Theatre, includes performances from the shows nominated for Outstanding Overall Production, a medley featuring the nominees for Outstanding Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Leading Role and honors outstanding achievements by students and educators made in the areas of performance, design, direction, choreography, technical production and overall production excellence.
