Sleepy Hollow, the Musical has been selected from hundreds of applicants to premiere at the New York New Works (NYNW) Theater Festival on Monday, October 9th. The festival will showcase an exciting 25 minute investor 'teaser' version of Sleepy Hollow, which includes seven original songs.

Gallery Players announces its second show of its 50th season with the award-winning show, The 39 Steps.   A suspenseful, melodramatic romantic-comedy written by Patrick Barlow, based on the film by Alfred Hitchcock and book by John Buchan, it leads us through a madcap world of spies, intrigue, and larger than life characters. Part film noir, part Monty Python, The 39 Steps is a delightful evening of mystery and comedy.

?Gallery Players announces the much anticipated production of the award-winning play, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest based on the novel by Ken Kesey, and adapted for the stage by Dale Wasserman.  Cuckoo's Nest continues Gallery's 49th Season of operation.  This production will be directed by Mark Harborth, with an opening night on March 12th at 8:00 pm.

Proof is directed by Gallery veteran Mark Gallagher (Equus, The History Boys), and features the talents of Justine Campbell-Elliott, John Blaylock*, Bonnie Wickeraad* and David Gazzo. Proof will open tonight, October 25, 2014 at 8pm and run through November 9, 2014.

The Clarence Brown Theatre, one of thirteen professional LORT (League of Regional Theatres) theatres on a university campus in the country, announced its newly appointed Advisory Board members. The Advisory Board is the link to the community, overseeing major events and fundraisers, the CBT Society Scholarship, and engaging the community to grow the theatre's support.

GHOST - THE MUSICAL features Steven Grant Douglas as Sam Wheat, Katie Postotnik as Molly Jensen, Carla R. Stewart as Oda Mae Brown and Robby Haltiwanger as Carl Bruner. Featured ensemble are Fernando Contreras, Brandon Curry, Evette Marie White, Lydia Warr, Hana Freeman and Shannan E. Johnson. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2014.

Actor Chris Hemsworth and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced the 86th Academy Awards nominations this morning, Thursday, January 16. Boone Isaacs and Hemsworth unveiled the nominations at a 5:38 a.m. PT live news conference at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives from around the world gathered.
