Born and raised in Winterthur, Switzerland, Matthias Gohl studied at Berklee College in Boston, MA. Theater music/sound design credits include A.R.T.,Cambridge, MA, Trinity Repertory Theater, Providence, RI., and Theater For A New Audience, NYC. Film score production with Elliot Goldenthal includes: Interview With A Vampire, Michael Collins, Heat, two Batman features, Titus, Across the Universe, Iron Giant, Butcher Boy, Public Enemies and Oscar® winning scores for John Corigliano's The Red Violin and Julie Taymor's Frida. In addition to documentary film composition, jazz performance and opera/theater pit performance, Teese is proud of his collaborations with Carly Simon, Nana Vasconcelos and Dave Stewart.

Adding to an already star-studded lineup, a?oeThe Music of Carly Simona?? at Carnegie Hall today announced that Deborah Cox, Jimmy Webb, Julie Simon, Natasha Bedingfield, Susanna Hoffs, Tony Shalhoub, and the Romulus Hunt Quintet have signed on to honor the Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe winning singer/songwriter, Carly Simon at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, March 19. Also announced today was the all-star house band, led by Teese Gohl and accompanied by Mick Rossi, David Saw, Peter Calo, Rick Marotta and Will Lee. Previously announced artists include: Indigo Girls, Livingston Taylor, Michael McDonald, Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive, Ben Taylor and Sally Taylor, John Forte, Resistance Revival Chorus, Darlene Love, and Linda Perry. ROTHKO: PICTURES MUST BE MIRACULOUS Tells the Story of the Leading 20th-century Artist Best Known for Color Field Paintings


One of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Mark Rothko's signature style helped define Abstract Expressionism, the movement that shifted the center of the art world from Paris to New York. American Masters — Rothko: Pictures Must Be Miraculous, premiering nationwide Friday, October 25 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings), pbs.org/americanmasters and the PBS Video app, is an intimate portrait of the celebrated painter whose luminous canvasses now set records at international auctions. Interviews with Rothko's children, Kate and Christopher, as well as leading curators, art historians and conservators present a comprehensive look at the artist's life and career, complemented by original scenes with Alfred Molina in the role of Rothko. Molina performs segments from Rothko's diaries, and the documentary features clips from the six-time Tony-winning play Red. As BroadwayWorld reported last night, according to the NY Times, the Broadway run of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark was rumored to be postponed once again; this time, because of safety issues. inspectors from The New York Department of Labor visited the Foxwoods Theatre to take a look at the flying devices and methods being used. Because they saw only some of the dozens of aerial stunts in the show, delays in the opening are likely. If the Department of Labor approves of the rest of the stunts in the next 10 days, then performances will begin on November 14.

Inside SPIDER-MAN Rehearsal - Details Revealed!


Recently, the Associated Press was invited inside the Foxwoods Theatre to observe SPIDER-MAN in rehearsal. As reported on ABC News today, reporter Mark Kennedy reveals that the production will feature '41 cast members, 18 orchestra members and about 18 new songs by U2's Bono and the Edge.' The spared-no-expense 60M production also features a circular conveyor belt and high-intensity arial choreography by Cirque du Soliel.

On September 10, Spider-Man Reeve Carney introduced the first song from the upcoming Broadway show, 'Boy Falls From the Sky' on Good Morning America. Carney performed the song, composed by Bono and The Edge at the Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Hotel, with the performance broadcast live during the 8am-9am hour. While on their 360 Tour in Portugal, Bono and The Edge themselves treated fans to their rendition of the song. Click below to watch!
