The 2022-2023 season opens at Kitchen Theatre Company with Do You Feel Anger?, the laugh-out-loud comedy by Mara Nelson-Greenberg that dives deep into the absurdities that line our professional lives, all while focusing on the importance of empathy in the workplace.

The Cherry Artists' Collective will present the world première of And What Happens if I Don't, by award-winning Serbian playwright Iva Brdar. An explosively funny, strange and ultimately moving exploration of how 'being good' can shape our lives.

The Hangar Theatre's first ever outdoor summer season closes with An Odyssey, a co-production with The Cherry Arts, running August 27-September 4, 2021.

From Saturday, December 18 through Sunday, December 27, the Hangar Theatre Company will host a virtual experience, Seasonal Story Jam & Hootenanny. Kitchen Theatre Company, Central New York's Off Broadway theatre, announces its 2018-19 season: seven exciting productions that fit perfectly with the Kitchen's mission to create bold theatre in our intimate space that engages community and sparks important conversations. Beginning with an indie rock musical and ending with a story about a deaf man's struggle to find his place in his family and the world, the season includes comedies, dramas with timely and historical themes, and even a thriller. Opera Ithaca announces their 5th season since the company's founding in 2014. The 2018/2019 season will include Hamlet, A Little Night Music, La bohème and a double bill of Francesca Caccini's Liberation (La Liberazione di Ruggiero) and the world premiere of Kamala Sankaram and Rob Handel's Enchantress.

Kitchen Theatre Company's Board of Directors honored retiring Artistic Director Rachel Lampert with an appropriately theatrical ceremony in which the building's mortgage was 'burned.' In attendance were community members and representatives of organizations who donated to the over $190,000 Burn the Mortgage campaign.

Opera Ithaca presents the regional premiere of Thumbprint, a 90 minute English-language contemporary opera from composer Kamala Sankaram and librettist Susan Yankowtiz about Mukhtar Mai and her heroic fight for women's rights in Pakistan.  

Opera Ithaca will open its third season with a grand celebration entitled Masquerade, followed by the regional premiere of Kamala Sankaram's opera based on the story of Mukhtar Mai, Thumbprint, a New Year's Eve Gala to include Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio and a spring 2017 production of Rossini's Cinderella, in addition to several concerts and community events.

The Joni Fritz's In the Car with Blossom and Len concert reading, featuring Dick Cavett, under the direction of Tony Award and Drama Desk Nominated director/choreographer Lynne Taylor- Corbett, will be held at Guild Hall at the John Drew Theatre (158 Main Street, East Hampton, New York). Joining Mr. Cavett for tonight's reading will be Jane Gabbert, Emily Jon Mitchell, Patricia Randell, Babs Winn and Joshua Perl.
