Rubicon Theatre Company has announced the launch of its new special event series, “VENTURA LIVE! Music, Laughter and Magic,” featuring one-night and short-run concerts, jam sessions, new play readings, magic nights, comedy, and much more.

Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024. Frampton, whose nomination marked his first appearance on the ballot to be considered for induction, will be amongst those honored at the ceremony in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland this fall.

One of the endearing aspects of the B Street Theatre is that you will always see familiar faces on stage. Their Company members comprise most of the roles in their shows, so it’s fun to watch them as different characters throughout the season. One such Company member, Amy Kelly, has gone from Mrs. Claus to a butler to a friar in a matter of months. She’s currently in B Street’s production of Robin Hood while recording as one half of the musical group Mustache & Cleavage. The NAACP award-winning author, Grammy-nominated producer, The Reverend Shawn Amos shares his new track “Back To The Beginning,” the second single from his upcoming album Soul Brother No. 1. The song builds from a slow-burning soul groove to a revelatory crescendo courtesy of the celebrated Nashville gospel group The McCrary Sisters.

Seas the Day was produced and mixed by Grammy award winning Chris Lord-Alge (Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day) and features the band's first original song “S*x on the Beach,” accompanied by a video with a guest appearance by the Access Hollywood & iHeart host, Mario Lopez.

Peter Frampton has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, celebrating 60 years of touring. Fresh off the heels of his nationwide headline run last year, the 2024 tour will see the acclaimed artist playing at venues across North America, including a stop at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre.

The album was recorded at John and Martina McBride's Blackbird Studios in Nashville, produced by Kim Wood Sandusky (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Thomas Rhett), engineered by Steve Cordray (Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Jelly Roll), and mastered by Greg Collins (Gwen Stefani, Ingrid Michaelson, Michelle Branch). 

Lorena Leigh has released the music video for her song, “Whales.” The video submerges listeners into the sea as the beats mimic the crashing of the waves, and the whimsical vocal tracks envelop anything dropped in. This siren-calling visual has an upbeat dance track juxtaposed with deep contemplation of what it means to be alive.

A spectacular one-night-only concert at OC's Segerstrom Center starring one of Broadway's most acclaimed stars, Jessica Vosk's 'California Dreamin'' is a rousing, informative tribute to the incredible singer/songwriters that populated the Laurel Canyon artists community in Los Angeles that included Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, and more.

Two new shows have been added to the 2024 Summer Concert Series at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA.  Scotty McCreery returns on Sunday, June 23, 2024 and RUMOURS: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show performs on  Sunday, July 21, 2024.

The track—written and co-produced by Jean—is featured on her debut project, Parallel Universe. In celebration of the new music, Ryden will join Del Water Gap on his winter 2024 European tour, including a performance January 30 at London's Electric Ballroom and further dates in Amsterdam, Glasgow, Dublin, and more. What did our critic think of SCHOOL OF ROCK at SKYLIGHT MUSIC THEATRE? School of Rock at Skylight Music Theatre is a super-fun musical that will take you straight to the top of Mount Rock. Based on the 2003 movie starring Jack Black, the stage show debuted in 2015. It’s written by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Glenn Slater.

GUISE, the alias of Jess Guise, sees out 2023 with one of her most heart-breaking, humbling songs to date: “Wish”. Out now via Xtra Mile Recordings, “Wish” is Guise’s first release since the emotional rollercoaster that was her debut album ‘Youngest Daughter’ and this standalone single finds her in similarly fine fettle.
