Cynthia Erivo and Joshua Henry to Star in Benefit Performance of THE LAST FIVE YEARS


 It was announced today Tony Award-Winner Cynthia Erivo and Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry will star in a special one-night-only benefit concert version of Jason Robert Brown's seminal musical, The Last Five Years, with the composer himself leading the orchestra. Produced by SubCulture and Jason Robert Brown, the evening will take place at Town Hall (123 West 43rd St), and 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Brady Center, the national organization determined to create a safer America by cutting gun deaths in half by 2025.

Breaking News: Members of Actors' Equity File Lawsuit Against Union Over LA Small Theater Waivers


This just in from actors and other members of the Los Angeles theatrical community who filed a lawsuit today against Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers. The lawsuit challenges the Union's decision to eliminate its 25-year-old waiver of jurisdiction over small 99-seat theaters, a program popularly known as Equity Waiver. Plaintiffs claim that the Union's decision to end Equity Waiver will unfairly destroy small theater in Los Angeles and deprive thousands of actors of opportunities to collaborate on creative theatrical projects.

Theatrical Memoir ACT ONE Closes Tonight on Broadway


The Lincoln Center Theater production of Act One will play its final performance tonight at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Act One was written and directed by James Lapine and based on the 1954 autobiography by Moss Hart. The production originally opened on April 17 for a limited engagement.
