Mike Bradford Named Managing Director Of The Moonlight Amphitheatre


Vista native Mike Bradford has been named Managing Director of the City of Vista's Moonlight Amphitheatre effective August 10, 2022. Bradford will oversee Moonlight's business and administrative functions and work in concert with Producing Artistic Director Steven Glaudini to shape the vision and future of the company and its seasons. Bradford has worked in technical production for The Moonlight's summer season for the past three years. He acted as Acting Technical Director in 2019 and 2021. He is also responsible for the design elements of “Jingle Terrace Park,” the annual drive-thru holiday experience in Brengle Terrace Park.

Moonlight Stage Productions' to Present BEAUTY AND THE BEAST


Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, continues Moonlight Stage Productions’ 40th anniversary summer season with performances scheduled July 21 through August 7 at 8 p.m. at the Moonlight Amphitheatre.

First, the Moonlight celebrates the 40th anniversary of its founding in 1981 and its subsequent productions of 219 shows both at the Moonlight Amphitheatre and the AVO Playhouse. Its second milestone is its return to the stage following a near year-and-a-half nationwide shutdown of live events during the pandemic.

On the very day that the newsboy strike began on July 18, 1899, Moonlight Stage Productions will open its second show of its summer season, DISNEY'S NEWSIES. The San Diego Regional Premiere production will run July 18 - August  4 at the Moonlight Amphitheatre.

A cast of leading regional musical theatre artists from throughout Southern California will join a live orchestra on the stage of the Moonlight Amphitheatre for one-night-only on Sat., July 7 at 8:00 p.m. for a concert version of Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone's iconic Broadway musical 1776. Moonlight Stage Productions' chiefs Steven Glaudini, Producing Artistic Director, and Colleen Kollar Smith, Managing Director, will take prominent roles in the concert: Glaudini will reprise his award-winning portrayal of John Adams, while Kollar Smith will provide direction and musical staging.
