City Theatre and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County will  present BOB MARLEY'S THREE LITTLE BIRDS. This jammin' musical featuring the timeless music and lyrics of Bob Marley is based on the children's book (Every Little Thing) by his daughter Cedella Marley.

The 1990 cult film favorite Pump Up the Volume will make its world premiere as a rock musical at Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse this April. The musical features book and lyrics by Jeremy Desmon and music by Jeff Thomson; direction by Dave Solomon, choreography by Emmy-nominated choreographer Stacey Tookey, music supervision and orchestrations by James Sampliner, scenic design by Emmy-winning designer Jason Ardizzone-West, costume design by Pei-Chi Su, co-lighting design by Jen Schriever and Grant Wilcoxen, and sound design by Steve Shapiro. Pump Up the Volume is based on an original screenplay by Allan Moyle and is produced in collaboration with RWS Entertainment Group, a New York-based full-service production company that creates award-winning custom entertainment, live events and branded experiences worldwide, and John Breglio.

Point Park University's award-winning Pittsburgh Playhouse presents The Wolves by playwright Sarah DeLappe. With accolades as a Finalist in 2017 for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and winner of the 2015 Relentless Award for Playwriting, The Wolves runs from February 21 a?" March 8 in the Highmark Theatre at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, located at 350 Forbes Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Cancer Support Community Los Angeles (CSCLA) 5th annual Gilda Gala on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the InterContinental Century City honored Ken Jeong, Dr. Annette Stanton, and Bedford Breast Center. The event benefited the comprehensive free of charge services, for cancer patients and their families, that CSCLA has provided since 1982.  The annual Gilda Gala is named for the late, legendary comedian Gilda Radner, an early participant and supporter of the CSCLA mission, with the belief that no one should face cancer alone.

While the Arsht Center was celebrating National Pride Month outside with all kinds of fun events from Drag Shows to live music, inside the opening night of SUMMER SHORTS was in full swing. The who's who of Miami Theatre gathered in a packed house. Stepping into what felt like a Beach Party film of the 1960s, the party was underway. Images of typical summer fun from Surfboards and flipflops found everywhere along with palm tree cutouts and a photo opt right at the entrance. City Theatre and Adrienne Arsht Center's SUMMER SHORTS 2019 runs May 30 through June 23 at Carnival Studio Theater on the Susan Westfall Stage (named after City Theatre's Co-Founder).
