The new professional production of the classic musical OLIVER! at Pioneer Theatre Company strikes a nice balance between the squalor of the story and the optimism of the score.

BWW Reviews: Pioneer Theatre Company's SWEET CHARITY is Filled with Life

Pioneer Theatre Company's production of SWEET CHARITY is a zany, zingy concoction filled with life and all that comes with it.

Pioneer Theatre Company to Present SWEET CHARITY, 5/9-24

Charity Hope Valentine is a dancehall girl who dreams of love and believes the man of her dreams is just around the corner. A great score, including the songs 'Hey Big Spender!' and 'If My Friends Could See Me Now,' incredible dancing - originally choreographed by Broadway legend Bob Fosse - and one of the most memorable heroines of the past sixty years combine to make Sweet Charity a must-see show. Never before produced at PTC, Sweet Charity is a razzle-dazzle closer for the 2013-14 season.

BWW Blog: Eric Ulloa of Goodspeed's THE MOST HAPPY FELLA - A Little Brains, A Little Talent

For how quiet the town of East Haddam is, this cast has somehow found ways to pack a ton of excitement and activities into our brief time offstage. This past week saw an event that (in my opinion) is pretty rare during the run of a show...one of our cast members got hitched. No, I did not get wasted and end up in Vegas waking up to nuptials and regret, but our very own bossy Italian chef 'Pasquale', Martin Sola, got married to his beautiful fiance Michelle. And I am not exaggerating about her beauty, as I call her his 'Middle Earth Wife' as if she comes from some perfect elf world where everything on the person is flawless...and I suppose Martin is no slouch either

BWW Reviews: A Most Happy Production of THE MOST HAPPY FELLA Entertains at Goodspeed

This revival is a sweet romance made delightful by Nolte's portrayal of Tony Esposito and a strong performance from Mamie Parris as his love interest, Rosabella.
