LA BAYADERE Comes to Norwegian National Ballet Next Week
Ever since its first premiere in St. Petersburg in 1877, this ballet about the temple dancer (bayadère) Nikiya has captivated audiences. So did the Norwegian National Ballet in 2019, when the press described their version of La Bayadère as “a masterpiece” – and “hypnotic in its precision”.

Tiler Peck has been a principal dancer with New York City Ballet (NYCB) since 2009. You might have seen her on Broadway in On The Town as Ivy Smith or in The Music Man as Gracie Shinn. She starred as Marie in the World Premiere Kennedy Center production of Little Dancer. It was that performance that made me and a lot of others in this area take notice of Ms. Peck not only as a dancer, but as a strong actress and singer.

American Ballet Theatre Cancels 2020 Season
American Ballet Theatre announced today the cancellation of its 2020 season at the Metropolitan Opera House. The season, marking the Company's 80th Anniversary, was scheduled for May 11-July 4, 2020. The cancellation, necessitated by the public health crisis arising from the coronavirus pandemic, was announced today.
