Tony Award winner Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart) and Karyl Lynn Burns (The Best is Yet to Come) present the New York premiere of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan and directed by Jenny Sullivan. Wiesenthal launches a limited 14-week engagement, from tonight, October 24 through February 1, at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, (410 W. 42nd Street). Opening night is November 5.

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts continues the 2013-14 Composer Portraits series with a multi-faceted exploration of the work of JEAN-BAPTISTE BARRIÈRE, featuring: Raphaele Kennedy, soprano, Camilla Hoitenga, flute, Margaret Lancaster, flute, Aliisa Barriere, violin, and Nathan Davis, percussion.

This Blessed Plot is the latest work by Obie-winning actor/writer Marc Wolf, who plays master builder Robert Moses, Public Theater founder Joe Papp, the Bible's Moses, and a host of other characters in a smart and funny one-man show about the battle for free Shakespeare in New York's Central Park. The show, presented as part of Weston's New Works series, is running at the Weston Rod & Gun Club August 15 - September 1.

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company today announced historic initiatives to make their popular plays and musicals affordable for all audiences. Single tickets go on sale today for a summer season that includes everything from Broadway musical favorites to exciting new works. "We're rolling out a terrific lineup of shows and also some great new ways for Vermonters to take in the fun," says Weston's Managing Director Stuart Duke. "Live theatre should be for everyone. Our popular V-Tix program, started several years ago, is being expanded and improved this year to encourage more people to attend our performances."

On Sunday, November 11 at 6:00pm, The New Group offers the first presentation in this season's continuing series Dark Nights at The New Group: "WOMEN in 3-D: Creating Complex, Sexual Female Characters" with playwrights Francine Volpe, Julia Jordan and Marsha Norman.

On Sunday, April 15, at 4 pm, The New Group presents this season's final presentation in Dark Nights at The New Group - Reflecting Rabe: Readings from David Rabe's Work. This event features readings of excerpts from David Rabe's acclaimed writing, from plays to fiction. Special guests, including Bobby Cannavale, Judith Ivey and Matthew Modine, will read selections and reflect on Rabe's singular career. Discussion with David Rabe and guests will follow.

La MaMa presents Poor Baby Bree in I Am Going to Run Away, a one-woman musical conceived and performed by Bree Benton, with an original book written by Bree Benton and fifteen archival songs from the golden age of vaudeville (1890s-1930s). I Am Going to Run Away is directed by David Schweizer, with musical direction by Franklin Bruno (on piano), and featuring Karen Waltuch (on viola) and Jacob Garchik (on tuba and trombone).

Now considered a prominent venue for award winning theatre, Culture Project had its humble beginnings in a former piano manufacturing factory on East 91st Street. It then moved to a lumberyard at 45 Bleecker Street which it converted into a two-theater performing arts center with Bombitty of Errors and And God Created Great Whales as its initial attractions. Now Culture Project has officially returned to 45 Bleecker making it its permanent home, and will present And God Created Great Whales, the innovative piece that launched the Culture Project into prominence over a decade ago.
