The 2024 Olivier Awards are fast approaching on April 14. Ahead of one of the most exciting nights in theatreland, our critics – Aliya Al-Hassan, Mica Blackwell, Alexander Cohen, Katie Kirkpatrick, Kat Mokrynski, Gary Naylor, Kerrie Nicholson, Matthew Paluch and Christiana Rose share their thoughts about who and what will triumph on the night, as well as who should twin each category.

The cast has been announced for Dracula: The Bloody Truth, a new production which takes the lid off the familiar story of the world's greatest – or worst, depending on how you look at it – vampire.

Strategically precise physical languages and a penchant for a quick, perfectly calibrated comeback make Steven Canny and John Nicholson’s a good-natured, lighthearted comedy. There are a few lulls in the first act, but these are rightfully outnumbered by energetically random bits that will have the crowd howling. Just what the doctor ordered these days.

Original Theatre in association with Park Theatre presents The Time Machine – A Comedy, at Park Theatre from 30 November – 30 December 2023, marking the London première of Steven Canny and John Nicholson’s play following a three-month tour.

Following the recent stage premiere of Steven Canny & John Nicholson’s play, THE TIME MACHINE – A Comedy, starring Michael Dylan (Wilf), Dave Hearn (founding member of the Olivier Award-winning Mischief Theatre, The Goes Wrong Show) and Amy Revelle (Offside), a filmed version of the live show will be available to stream online for two years from Thursday 22 June 2023 at 7.30pm.   

From Monday 27 March 2023 (#WorldTheatreDay), theatre-lovers can watch Through The Mirror – The Making of a Miss Marple Mystery, a free documentary showing behind the scenes footage of Original Theatre’s recent hit touring production of Agatha Christie’s The Mirror Crack’d.

Original Theatre, the multi award-winning London and Suffolk based theatre company, will return to Brits Off Broadway, 59E59 Theaters' annual celebration of UK theatre, for its 2023 Season, presenting the critically acclaimed productions The Habit of Art from 29 April – 28 May and Being Mr Wickham from 25 May – 11 June.
