Acclaimed Washington actor Craig Wallace will return to Ford’s Theatre to reprise the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for the company’s holiday production of A Christmas Carol. Performances of the classic Charles Dickens story begin November 18, 2022 and continue for a six-week engagement through December 31, 2022.

Folger Theatre returns to live performances this summer with one of William Shakespeare's most magical and beloved comedies, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This romantic and mischievous romp will be produced as part of the National Building Museum's Summer Block Party on stage at The Playhouse that is being built from the ground up inside the Museum's majestic Great Hall.

The play, by Agatha Christie and Gerald Verner, premiered in the West End at the St. James's Theatre in September, 1956.  Her novels have sold more than 2 billion copies around the world, and she is only outsold by the Bible and Shakespeare. 

From the popular playwright of THE NERD, RTC's next show in their 2019 season the very funny comedy THE FOREIGNER.  THE FOREIGNER will run June 7-23 at Richardson Theatre Centre, (518 W. Arapaho Rd. Folger Theatre concludes its very successful 25th anniversary season this spring with Shakespeare's gripping tragedy Timon of Athens. Directed by Robert Richmond (Othello, Henry V, Richard III), this rarely produced satire examining wealth, false friendships, and the abuse of generosity features Helen Hayes Award-winner Ian Merrill Peakes (Macbeth, Othello, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead) in the title role.
