Previews began yesterday for the world premiere of I HATE MUSICALS: THE MUSICAL and audiences loved it! Simpsons' television writer and producer Mike Reiss has created a modern day Scrooge story of a cranky comedy writer trapped in the rubble of an LA earthquake. His life plays out before his eyes in the form of a musical -- and he hates musicals! With numbers sung by everyone from Sigmund Freud and Satan, will he learn to be less cranky? Dominick LaRuffa Jr. is set to take on the role of 'Nathaniel Hollingsworth' in the hit Off-Broadway comedy 'My Big Gay Italian Midlife Crisis,' now approaching its one year anniversary, opposite creator Anthony J. Wilkinson. LaRuffa will be schedule to appear in both tonight's (September 15th) and September 22nd performances.

"My Big Gay Italian Midlife Crisis" which officially opened on December 3rd, 2015, has extended its run till January 5th, 2017 and will celebrate its one-year anniversary while it remains at The Theater Center on Thursday nights at 8pm with select special performances on Saturday's at 5pm.

EMMY Award-Winner Bruce Vilanch stars in a staged reading of RUBBLE, a new comedy by 4 time EMMY Award-Winning 'The Simpsons' writer, Mike Reiss at The Provincetown Theater. 'The Sopranos' star and Broadway veteran Jerry Adler also joins the cast. The staged reading of RUBBLE will be directed by James Valletti for one night only to benefit The Provincetown Theater. All proceeds go directly to support The Provincetown Theater.

THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN will play its final performance at Broadway's Booth Theatre on Sunday, May 4, 2014, having played 22 preview and 16 regular performances. The Velocity of Autumn is a 90-minute powder keg dark comedy by Eric Coble that stars Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons (Bonnie and Clyde, 'Roseanne') and two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Spinella (Angels in America, Lincoln, '24'), is directed by Molly Smith and will open tonight, April 21, 2014. This limited Broadway engagement of The Velocity of Autumn follows a sold-out, critically acclaimed run at Washington DC's Arena Stage (Edgar Dobie, Executive Producer) in the fall of 2013.

The Telly Awards announced the 2014 Award winners yesterday, naming the television spot for the new dark comedy THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN produced by AKA NYC the recipient of the 2014 Telly Award for Excellent Use of Humor (Local TV and Local Cable). "The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video," said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. "AKA NYC's accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production."
