Little Radical Theatrics is officially one month away from opening night of Little Radical Theatrics Summer 2017 production of the TONY Award-winning Broadway Musical 'The Secret Garden!' Based on the beloved classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett!

Little Radical Theatrics (Fatima Viegas, Executive Producer) brings the mesmerizing music of composer Lucy Simon and the transcendent text of librettist-lyricist Marsha Norman to the forefront with a reimagined staging of this celebrated contemporary classic.

Directed and choreographed by Judith Jarosz (who is also one of the theater's two Producing Artistic Directors) and with music direction by Tom Mcdonough, Theater2020 brings a beautifully executed production of Sondheim's musical to the first professional theater in Brooklyn Heights. With the slogan that boasts of 'visions for a new millennium,' the group continues its 2017 Winter Season in the confines of the First Unitarian Society of Brooklyn's intimate chapel - an ideal place for Sweeney for those of you who chuckle at the irony. With a cast made up of Equity and non-Equity members alike, Theater2020's current production proves that the effect of truly great theater can be had in the mere simplicity of a great performance.

Join us in May for our spring 2011 production of The Secret Garden! Nominated for the 1991 Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Score and originally starring Mandy Patinkin, The Secret Garden is based on the beloved children's book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Orphaned in India, 11 year old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive Uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin on his estate. Hidden within the grounds is a neglected garden, which beckons Mary with its haunting melodies and spirits from the family's past. As Mary and the children work with the earth to bring the garden back to life, its beauty and bounty are restored and the healing power of nature brings forth forgiveness, love, and renewal.
