American Repertory Theater has announced the members of the 2023 cohort of its Arts & Cultural Organizational Management (ACOM) program.

Eminences of the literary community and publishing worlds will gather at Cipriani 25 Broadway on Tuesday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m. in honor of The Center for Fiction's Annual Awards Benefit and 200th Anniversary Celebration.

The Center For Fiction will host their Annual Awards Benefit virtually this year on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 7:30 PM ET.

Earlier this week, New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) celebrated its 2020 Gala, honoring NYTW Usual Suspect & Tony Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, Three Pianos at NYTW) and Tony Award-winning producer Jordan Roth (Producer of Hadestown; President of Jujamcyn Theaters). 

Written by award-winning playwright Tom Dulack (Incommunicado, Kennedy Center Prize for New American Drama; Road to Damascus) and directed by Michael Parva (Irena's Vow, Martin Luther on Trial), PARADISE LOST just opened last night, January 22, at Theatre Three at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036) for a run through Sunday, February 23, 2020. The High School Broadway Shadowing Program connects New York City public high school students with behind-the-scenes professionals including producers, stage managers, house managers, and marketing and advertising staff, who share what goes into creating and maintaining a Broadway production. On Thursday December 12th, 70 students and teachers from all over NYC came together at our host venue, Theatre Row, to learn more about non-performance careers in theatre. These participants also had the opportunity to attend The Phantom of the Opera; for some of these students it was the chance to attend a Broadway show for the first time.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presented the fifteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Angela Sclafani & Benjamin Velez. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by Kate Baldwin on Monday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

The Broadway League announced today that Kids' Night on Broadway will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Tickets will be available for purchase in December

The 11th annual Jimmy Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, June 24th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre. A rehearsal was held on June 17th at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, and we've got your first look inside!

New York Theatre Workshop's 2019 Gala will celebrate 40 Years of New York Theatre Workshop and honor Founding Trustee Stephen Graham. 

Over 100 members from 40 different markets attended The Broadway League's Audience Education and Engagement Fall Forum. Emerson College President, Dr. Lee Pelton, was this year's keynote speaker. The two day forum included a number of different topics including The Jimmy Awards, the Broadway Bridges program, program evaluations, technology & streaming and diversity.

R.R.R.E.D., with music and lyrics by Katie Thompson and a book by Adam Jackman, Katie Thompson and Patrick Livingston, opened just last night, August 19, 2018, at the DR2 Theatre. NEUROSIS, with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards, celebrated opening night on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the DR2 Theatre. Directed by Andy Sandberg (Straight, Application Pending), and choreographed by Shea Sullivan (Pageant), Neurosis began performances on July 25, 2018. The 2018 Jimmy Awards took place on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. Laura Benanti hosted. The coveted Jimmy Awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor were presented to Renee Rapp, The Blumey Awards (Charlotte, NC) and Andrew Barth Feldman, The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (New York, NY).

Tonight's the night! A record 80 high school students from across America will take part in the Jimmy Awards, to compete for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress as well as other honors and scholarships at the tenth annual awards ceremony. Meet Josh Strobl: it might not be a name you recognize now, but don't be surprised when you see it lighting up a marquee on Broadway in the next few years. That's not only because he is crazy talented and currently a student at University of Michigan (which can claim Pasek & Paul, Gavin Creel, and Darren Criss as alumni), but he was also the winner of the 2016 Best Performance by an Actor Jimmy Award.
