Mint Theater Company announced that the Silver Lining Streaming Series, the on-demand streaming of the three-camera archival recordings (filmed in HD!), will conclude on June 27th with two of Mint’s most acclaimed hits:  A Picture of Autumn by N.C Hunter, directed by Gus Kaikkonen and The Fatal Weakness by George Kelly, directed by Jesse Marchese.

George Morfogen, the American stage, television, and film actor, passed away on March 8, 2019 in his home in New York, NY.

As America's great playwrights go, Horton Foote, who passed on in 2009, just shy of his 93rd birthday, was perhaps the most understated of them all.  In a prolific career that involved golden age television dramas, Academy Award winning screenplays and dozens of stage works, his favorite source of inspiration was the relatives and neighbors he observed growing up in the quiet comfort of East Texas.

???????Horton Foote's The Traveling Lady, directed by Austin Pendleton, opened on June 22 and was originally set to run through July 16, 2017, has been extended and will now run through July 30, 2017 at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.).

Mint Theater Company has announced that the acclaimed revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, will now continue through October 30th at their new home at the Beckett Theater as a resident company at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues).

Though his name is scarcely remembered on American shores, N.C. Hunter was one of the more popular English playwrights during the 1950s. His genteel dramas would feature such distinguished cast members as John Gielgud, Sybil Thorndike, Ingrid Bergman, Ralph Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave and Michael Redgrave, but his work fell out of favor with the rise of Britain's 'angry young men' playwrights.

Specialists in introducing contemporary audiences to worthy, but neglected plays, The Mint Theater Company's new production will probably be a first introduction for many of its audience members to the work of N.C. Hunter.

Coming up next for Mint Theater Company will be the first ever New York revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, directed by Austin Pendleton. This will be the Mint's first production as a resident theater company at Theatre Row. Performances continue through September 24th at their new home at the Beckett Theater at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). Opening Night is set for August 25th.
