This May, The National Meningitis Association (NMA) (Lynn Bozof, President) will hold its annual GIVE KIDS A SHOT Gala Celebration honoring Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch (Nancy Ford Springer Award), Carl Buher and Michael Laforgia (T.E.A.M. Outstanding Service Awards), Paul Lee, MD (Health Achievement Award) at The Pierre on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 6:30pm.

The first major gallery exhibition of the NYC fall art season opened at The Cavalier Gallery with a seminal show entitled American Realism: Past and Present on Thursday, October 22nd. Over 100 guests including collectors, critics, and many of the featured artists attended the opening night wine reception at the Cavalier's stunning and expansive fourth floor space at 3 West 57th Street. The American Society of the University of Haifa held it's 2014 Gala at the American Museum of Natural History last night. Jamie deRoy was the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Ambassador Ido Aharoni,Consul General of Israel who spoke, as well as other dignitaries from the University. At the podium were Yariv Sultan VP, Professor Alfred I. Tauber, Chairman Board of Governors, and Yefet Ozery National Executive Director of ASUH. Sandra Frankel represented the Leona M. and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust was presented a Carmel Award of Merit by Leon H. Charney. Audrey Gruss was also presented a Carmel Award which was presented by Professor Alfred I. Tauber. There was a musical performance by Israeli artists Guy Mintus, pianist/compser and opera singer Maya Yahav Gour.

The worlds of art, fashion, design, theater and media came together for “Reflections: Art & Beauty” a one-night- only exhibition of significant contemporary art works to benefit Robert Wilson's internationally acclaimed arts incubator The Watermill Center. Hosted by Sherle Wagner International, the premier source, world-wide, for luxury bath hardware, and bath accessories and the recently launched Fairweather Magazine dedicated to following La Dolce Vita world-wide, the Vernissage drew over 400 guests to the gorgeous showroom. A magnificent sculpture in painted and chromed steel, “Rev. E. Piscapalian Study” by the renowned John Chamberlain towered over attendees as they arrived and were greeted by Evan Geoffroy, CEO, Sherle Wagner, Alexandra Fairweather and Eric Goodman, co-founders Fairweather Magazine and Pinki Patel of The Watermill Center.

RIDING THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS With BILLY HAYES, written and performed by Bill Hayes, directed by John Gould Rubin, opened last night at St. Luke's Theatre. FIRST he wrote the best-selling book. Over 400 international collectors and prominent figures in art, fashion, beauty and finance flocked to have the first look at an extraordinary survey of four decades of work by famed photographer Robert Farber on Thursday January 30. The show Farberesque: From Pensive to Provocative at 3West57 Project presented by Cavalier Gallery is a fascinating overview of the vast body of work created by the iconic photographer who has influenced scores of the world's leading photographers with his painterly, impressionistic style that allows the viewer to see the subject from a different perspective by creating unique compositions . The annual National Meningitis Association (NMA) Give Kids a Shot Gala was once again an emotion filled evening but a stellar success in aiding the fight against meningitis, a potentially vaccine preventable disease. Held in the elegant ballrooms of the historic New York Athletic Club with phenomenal views of Central Park as a backdrop, hundreds of New York's movers and shakers turned out to support the cause and also to congratulate meningitis survivor & Para Olympic Gold Medalist Nick Springer, an Honorary Chair along with Ambassador & Mrs. John L. On Friday January 13, Times Square Chronicles, MEDEA Vodka, and Columbus Circle Wines and Spirits launched Charities to Benefit, an innovative initiative to bring light to the charities of choice of a number of our favorite celebrities. Each bottle of MEDEA will be programmed with a special LED message and autographed by a celebrity. The bottles will be auctioned off online starting February 1st. Charities to Benefit will be a year long initiative with new celebrities and new charities added every few weeks.
