Tony-nominee Loretta Ables Sayre and Jagged Little Pill star Antonio Cipriano have joined Max's Pretty Little Liars: Summer School. Pretty Little Liars: Summer School will premiere on Max this spring. Honolulu Theatre for Youth has announced the world premiere of The Royal School by Moses Goods and Lee Cataluna. The production brings to life a time when Hawaiian leaders Kamehameha IV, Kamehameha V, Bernice Pauahi Bishop, Queen Lili`uokalani, Queen Emma, and King Kalakaua were together as children at Ke Kula Keiki Ali`i, the Royal School.

SunYears, a new project from Swedish singer/songwriter Peter Morén of Peter Bjorn and John, shares the second single, “Slipping Away,” from the debut album Come Fetch My Soul! For the album, Morén enlisted fellow indie artists Ron Sexsmith, Jess Williamson, Eric Johnson (Fruit Bats, Bonny Light Horseman), and Kathryn Williams.

Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY) has announced the world premiere of Peter Pop Pan by the HTY Ensemble from the J.M. Barrie novel Peter and Wendy, with music and lyrics by Matt Mazzella. The original musical will be created in a devised process which will include HTY’s entire Resident Ensemble.

For the album, Morén enlisted fellow indie artists Ron Sexsmith, Jess Williamson, Eric Johnson (Fruit Bats, Bonny Light Horseman), and Kathryn Williams, which resulted in multiple duets throughout the album. The closing track “Wake Up,” written during a songwriting retreat, features Ren Harvieu.

Joe Satriani, the legendary world-renowned guitarist, is planning two additional outings as a touring visual artist with showings coming to two Wentworth Gallery locations in March, 2023 - specifically, Saturday, March 11th at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Sunday March 12th at the King of Prussia location.

Honolulu Theatre for Youth has announced that its production, In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson, by Bette Bao Lord, adapted for the stage by Mark Branner, returns to Tenney Theater for two weekends. The show is currently on a 20+ city U.S. tour that continues through the spring.
