Could Love Letters be headed off-Broadway, starring Elaine May and Frank Langella? According to Showbiz411, the duo will lead the A.R. Gurney play this spring at the Acorn Theater on W 42nd St. The production is expected to begin in March.

The hefty Briscoe is light on his feet - thanks to years of training in ballet and modern dance. 

Actress/LA theatre inaugurator, Penny Fuller has embarked on a new leg of her career as a cabaret artiste. Ms. Fuller will be bringing her solo musical play 13 THINGS ABOUT ED CARPOLOTTI to the Broad Stage beginning January 11. I had the most delightful opportunity to chat with the vibrant, vivacious Ms. Fuller. She possesses a memory of an elephant, effortlessly listing off names of cast compatriots and retelling intriguing incidents of her theatre highlights.

Playwright Martin Sherman, most famous for his Pulitzer and Tony-nominated play Bent is in town for the Mark Taper Forum's revival of  the classic directed by Moises Kaufman. We sat down at Vespaio at the after party Sunday July 26 and chatted briefly about the play and this production. What research you did originally on the persecution of gays in Nazi Germany?

The 1980 Broadway production was directed by Robert Allan Ackerman, scenery by Santo Loquasto, costumes by Robert Wojewodski, lighting by Arden Fingerhut, and music by Stanley Silverman. The show featured Richard Gere as Max, David Marshall Grant as Rudy,James Remar as Wolf, Michael Gross as Greta, George Hall as Uncle Freddie, Bryan E. The faded glamour of the 1940s theatre comes to life as Rep Stage favorite and Helen Hayes Award-winning actor Nigel Reed ('Travels With My Aunt,' 'Mrs. Warren's Profession,' 'The Judas Kiss') reunites with the director of 2008's 'Trumbo: Red, White, and Blacklisted' to portray stage legend John Barrymore as he rehearses a comeback performance of his triumphal 'Richard III.' Mr. Reed delivers a comedic yet haunting portrayal of the acclaimed stage and screen actor from the legendary Barrymore family, icons of the American Theatre. 'Barrymore' opens October 26 and runs through November 13, 2011 in the Smith Theatre of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the campus of HCC.
