The Tony Award-winning FORBIDDEN BROADWAY arrives at Popejoy Hall Sunday April 7, 2024, at 3:00 pm.

The 8-track album was produced by longtime collaborator, friend and Big Noise label-head John Feldmann, alongside a modern-day roll call of A-list pop/rock juggernauts including Travis Barker, Sierra Deaton, Ryan Linville (Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan), Zhone (Troye Sivan, Kim Petras) and Chris Collins (Royal Otis, Matt Corby).

Sydney’s favorite indie duo, Royel Otis are sharing their newest single, “Adored” out now via OURNESS. “Adored” is a sharp post-punk leaning treat, with its snappy beat keeps you upright and Otis’ croon drawls across an earworm lullaby. “Forbidden Broadway” the musical parody performs on the actual indoor stage (not the Butterfield Stage) at Starlight Theatre in Swope Park in front of an audience of about 500 wildly amused patrons.    “Forbidden Broadway” is a thorough skewering of all those Broadway shows you’ve either seen or hoped to see.  Broadway sees its own reflection in a funhouse mirror and has a big belly laugh at its own expense.

The limited run of intimate shows is Corby’s first US tour since 2019 — after multiple tour cancellations due to Covid, he's looking forward to playing new music for his US fans once again.

Their home had been engulfed by the flood waters that raged through Queensland and New South Wales, Australia in early 2022. After nervously watching his heavily pregnant partner and young son be whisked away in a small inflatable dinghy, he got to work ferrying provisions to stranded locals and digging rotting mud out from beneath his home.
