Brian Peterlin BIO

With a degree in Computer Science and a penchant for fixing things, Brian is Stage 773’s resident genius. After working in corporate IT (and a suit) for a number of years, Brian became a founding principal of Stage 773, where his tattoos and mohawk feel quite at home. In 2001, alongside Brian Posen, he founded The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, now the largest in the nation. In his years as Technical Director of Sketchfest, Brian estimates teching over 1200 shows. He has also traveled to festivals in Portland, SanFrancisco, LA, Miami, New York, Austin, Boston, and Toronto to TD for The Cupid Players, the longest running musical sketch comedy group in Chicago. When not running shows, Brian can be found quietly kicking ass in the silent sketch comedy group Bri-Ko, which recently won Best of the Fest at Toronto Sketch Fest. How does he do it? Science, that’s all.
