Theatre includes: Three Tony Awards for his lighting designs: Fosse (Ovation Award Los Angeles), Sunset Boulevard (Ovation Award Los Angeles) and The Phantom of the Opera (Drama Desk and Outer Circle Critics’ Awards NY, Dora Mavor Award (Canada) and Los Angeles Critics’ Award). Phantom has now been seen in Britain, USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, China, Korea, Australia, South Africa, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore and as Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular.

West End shows include: Acorn Antiques, Absolutely! {Perhaps} directed by Franco Zeffirelli, Singin’ in the Rain (NT), Sunset Boulevard (USA and tour, Canada, Australia, Germany), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1992 (UK tour, USA and tour, Canada, Australia, Germany), Five Guys Named Moe (USA, Australasia, SE Asia and UK tours), Aspects of Love (Broadway, Drama Desk Award nomination, Canada and Australia), Saturday Night Fever (London, Broadway, USA tour, Argentina and Spain), Fosse (Broadway, USA tour, European tour), Time, Oliver! (Broadway, Australia), Torvill and Dean (world tour), Billy Bishop Goes to War, TomFoolery, Little Me, Blondel, The Boy Friend, The Hunting of the Snark and Heathcliff.

Other work includes: Siegfried and Roy spectacular at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show at Disneyland Paris, lighting director for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games 2002 (Manchester), Show Boat, Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci, Carmen, Aïda, La Bohème, Madam Butterfly and Tosca (Royal Albert Hall) and Sleeping Beauty (English National Ballet). Concerts include: Bing Crosby, Julie Andrews, Tommy Steele and Shirley Bassey. He was responsible for the spectacular floodlighting of the headquarters for Lloyd’s of London (National Lighting Award).
