Comedy Series TEN PERCENT to Premiere on Sundance Now and AMC+


Sundance Now is set to release the first season of the upcoming original comedy series Ten Percent. The show's two-episode premiere is set for Friday, April 29 on Sundance Now and AMC+. An encore airing of the first episode will debut linearly on BBC AMERICA Sunday, May 1 with one episode weekly thereafter.

From acclaimed writer and director Derek Cianfrance (“Blue Valentine,” “The Place Beyond the Pines”) comes I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE, a six-part limited drama series debuting this April, starring Mark Ruffalo (Emmy® winner for HBO's “The Normal Heart”), who also serves as an executive producer, as identical twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey in a family saga that follows their parallel lives in an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice and forgiveness. The series, set in the fictional town of Three Rivers, Connecticut, shows Dominick and Thomas at different stages in their lives, beginning in their present in the early 1990s with both brothers approaching middle-age, filled in with Dominick's flashbacks to their young adulthood and childhood.

NBCUniversal Buys Archie Panjabi, Christopher Plummer Drama


NBCUniversal has pre-bought the upcoming drama series, 'Departure' starring Archie Panjabi (“The Good Wife”) and Christopher Plummer (“All the Money in the World”), according to Variety. The drama will be on the Universal TV channel in the U.K. and Germany and 13th Street in France and Spain. It will also be on Universal TV in Africa and 13th Street in Poland as part of NBCUniversal International Network's pay-TV deal for the show in several parts of the EMEA region.

Produced by Shaftesbury and Greenpoint Productions Ltd., the thrilling drama is directed by Canadian Screen Award Winner T.J. Scott (Orphan Black, Star Trek: Discovery), with Malcolm MacRury (Saving Hope) joining as showrunner, and created by Vincent Shiao (Ransom, Aftermath). With principal photography now underway in Toronto, the Canada/UK co- production will also shoot in London, England. The project was developed by Shaftesbury in association with Corus Entertainment and Red Arrow Studios International.
