Just last night, Second Stage Theater celebrated its annual All-Star Bowling Classic.  For over 30 years, stars of stage and screen have come out to bowl in support of Second Stage's award-winning seasons and to assist the theatre in its fund-raising efforts.

The Olivier Award-winning, international sensation SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW returns to Broadway for a limited holiday engagement at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 W 43rd St., NYC) through January 5, 2020.

The Actors Fund's Career Transition For dancers Jubilee gala was held in the New York Marriot Marquis last night and Broadwayworld was there. It was hosted by Tony & Emmy Award-winning Actress Bebe Neuwirth and honored Dancer Choreographer & Television dance Competion judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Academy & Tony Award-winning Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tony Award nominee and New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Robert Fairchild.

The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the fundraising arm of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, honored an unparalleled group of Hall of Famers, Gold Medalists, World Champions and philanthropists in front of a crowd of over 1,300 supporters tonight at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, raising millions toward spinal cord injury research during the 31st Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner. On Wednesday, June 17th The National Urban Technology Center (Urban Tech) hosted its 2015 gala at Gotham Hall in New York City to celebrate their 20 years of service connecting students and families to digital literacy, financial literacy, comprehensive health education and life skills that are critical to academic success.   The theme of the gala awards dinner was “Breaking Barriers.”

On Tuesday, June 3, 2014 City Parks Foundation (CPF) held the City Parks Foundation Gala presented at SummerStage in Central Park, an annual fundraising event that supports CPF's free year-round arts, sports, education and community-building programs. Soul Doctor, about the life and music of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach and his unlikely friendship with Nina Simone, officially opened last night, August 15. Soul Doctor has music by Shlomo Carlebach, orchestrated and arranged for Broadway by Steve Margoshes (Smokey Joe's Cafe, The Who's Tommy), book and direction by Daniel S. The Actors Fund's annual gala last night, April 29, 2013 at the New York Marriott Marquis honored Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, the pay television company HBO and entrepreneur/film producer and Fund trustee Steve Kalafer. The trio will receive the Medal of Honor, the highest award from the 130-year old non-profit human services organization. See photos from the star-studded red carpet below!

The School of American Ballet's 2013 Winter Ball: A Night in the Far East at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater on Monday, March 11, 2013 raised more than $1.1 million for scholarships and school programs. The evening, sponsored by legendary French Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, began with cocktails at 7pm and dinner at 8pm, followed by a one-time-only performance, and The Encore dessert and dancing.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation held its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala last night at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10. ELF returns to Broadway this holiday season at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). The short film Juliette Fairley's Mulatto's Dilemma (JFMD) premiered this weekend at the New York International Film Festival in Los Angeles. The highly acclaimed 10-minute movie screened in the Mary Pickford room of Raleigh Studios on Melrose Avenue to a full house on Saturday night September 15.
