The Coalition for NYC Hospitality & Tourism Recovery, an initiative of NYC & Company, today unveiled its roadmap for tourism reimagining and recovery, a Stay Well NYC Pledge and new revitalization campaign, All In NYC.

NYC & Company, the official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs of New York City, today announced the formation of The Coalition for NYC Hospitality & Tourism Recovery.

NYC & Company Chairman of the Board of Directors Emily K. Rafferty has announced her decision to step down from her chairmanship in February 2020. When Rafferty leaves her post next year, she will have served as Board Chairman of the organization for nearly 12 years and presided over a tourism industry that has enjoyed 10 consecutive years of growth. In accordance with NYC & Company's bylaws, the organization's Executive Committee today voted to elect longstanding Vice Chairman Charles Flateman, Executive Vice President of the Shubert Organization, to fill the remaining portion of Emily Rafferty's term, through February 2021.

Today, Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) named Marcus Samuelsson, internationally acclaimed chef, restaurateur and author, as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors with Mark Weiss, Chief Investment Officer of RFR Holdings. C-CAP Founder Richard Grausman, who previously held the Chairman position, will continue as Chairman Emeritus. The Board's transition will set the course for the future of C-CAP, which in 2015 marked 25 years of preparing underserved high school students across the country for college and careers in the food service and hospitality industry.

On Saturday, May 10th, 2014, jewelry designer and philanthropist Joan Hornig, five time Heavyweight Champion of the World Evander Holyfield, hit reality series So You Think You Can Dance creator & celebrity judge Nigel Lythgoe, FOX Business Network Anchor and Global Markets Editor Maria Bartiromo, U.S. Representative Ed Royce, Fashion Designer Elie Tahari, Admiral Harry B. Harris, Jr. Commander - U.S. Pacific Fleet, Secretary of State Senior Advisor and Former United States Ambassador to Italy David Thorne, National Guard Bureau Chief, General Frank J. Grass, USA, TV host and humanitarian Yue-Sai Kan, Grucci Fireworks, Felix Grucci, Tim Zagat, co-Founder, co-Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Zagat Survey and more than 100 other distinguished Americans gathered to receive the Ellis Island Medals of Honor. Julie & Julia is the new comedy-drama, written and directed by Nora Ephron, depicting events in the life of famed chef Julia Child. Ephron's screenplay is adapted from two books: My Life in France, Child's autobiography, written with Alex Prud'homme, and a memoir by Julie Powell.
