The 2024 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has revealed the finalists for this prestigious international award honoring women+ playwrights.

GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, has announced the nominees for the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, including five Broadway shows, Billy Porter, Reneé Rapp, The Color Purple, High School Musical the Musical the Series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, and more.

Holly Macve begins 2024 with '1995', the latest single to be shared from her forthcoming new EP Time Is Forever. The track joins recent singles ‘Beauty Queen' and ‘Suburban House' (featuring vocals from Lana Del Rey) on Holly's new EP, her first new project in almost three years, marking a new beginning for the Irish-born songwriter. 

The music-driven series blends 1870s English aristocracy with a modern soundtrack produced by Stella Mozgawa (of the band Warpaint) and packed with songs from Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers, Brandi Carlile and more, along with original music from Folick, Lucius, Alison Mosshart, Warpaint, Gracie Abrams, Sharon Van Etten, Bully, and more.

Yesterday, vocalist, songwriter, and producer Miya Folick shared her bold and fun-loving anthem, “What We Wanna,” which is the iconic lead single from the official soundtrack to The Buccaneers — the upcoming Apple Original drama series, premiering globally on Apple TV+ with the first three episodes on November 8th.

The series is packed with songs from top female performers like Taylor Swift, Boygenius, Maggie Rogers, Bikini Kill, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Angel Olsen, Brandi Carlile and more, along with  original music from Folick, Lucius, Alison Mosshart, Warpaint, Gracie Abrams, Sharon Van Etten, Bully, Danielle Ponder and more, as well as composers AVAWAVES.

Orange Tree Theatre has announced the full cast for the world premiere of Isley Lynn's The Swell. Hannah Hauer-King directs Jessica Clark, Ruby Crepin-Glyne, Viss Elliot Safavi, Saroja-Lily Ratnavel, Shuna Snow, and Sophie Ward.

The series is based on Edith Wharton’s unfinished final novel and stars Kristine Froseth ('The Assistant'), Alisha Boe ('When You Finish Saving The World,' '13 Reasons Why'), Josie Totah ('Saved by the Bell'), Aubri Ibrag ('Dive Club'), Imogen Waterhouse ('The Outpost,' 'Nocturnal Animals') and Mia Threapleton ('I Am Ruth') as the buccaneers.

Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for the next REVELATION READING, the New York Premiere of The Shadow of a Doubt by Edith Wharton, directed by Eleanor Holdridge: Emily Brown, Michael Cerveris, Kimberly Chatterjee, Samantha Blaire Cutler, Sanjit De Silva, Adam Harrington, Kathryn Meisle, Amanda Quaid and Brian Wile.  This will take place on Monday January 28th at 7:30 PM at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).
