 Theatrical Outfit (TO) held its annual fundraising gala, 'Our Luckie Stars,' on Saturday, April 27th at its home, The Balzer Theater at Herren's on Luckie Street in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The event honored long-time TO patrons Doug and Florida Ellis and featured silent and live auctions, wonderful food, and exciting entertainment from familiar TO artists. The evening was a celebration of the theatre's mission to provide world-class conversation-starting theatre to inspire a compassionate, joyful, and just community. The gala raised over $123,000, breaking its fundraising goal and surpassing last year's success.

The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2013-2014 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening to theatre patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Actor's Express in the King Plow Arts Center of Atlanta. Guest announcers included performers Christy Baggett, Laura Cole, Danielle Deadwyler, and Tess Malis Kincaid.

STAGE DOOR PLAYERS, Dunwoody's own professional theatre company, continues its 40th Anniversary Season with Miracle on South Division Street by Tom Dudzick, directed by Dina Shadwell. The show opens on Friday, March 21, 8pm curtain, and runs until April 13. The cast features mother-son duo Susan Shalhoub Larkin and Tony Larkin (on stage together for the first time!), Kara Cantrell, and Kelly Criss (who just directed SDP's On Golden Pond).
