Second Thought Theatre brings its thrilling 2016 season to a close with the area premiere of A Kid Like Jake, by Daniel Pearle.

Peterborough is feeling a little more joyous this week. The Peterborough Players took home 7 New Hampshire Theatre Awards (NHTA) category wins for their 2015 productions of Outside Mullingar and Charley's Aunt. The 14th Annual NHTA awards gala was held at the Capitol Center in downtown Concord, New Hampshire last Saturday night, January 23rd. Here is the winners list for the Players:

Second Thought Theatre Co-Artistic Director Steven Walters announced today the complete cast and creative team for BOOTH, the brand new play by Walters with story and research assistance from Erik Archilla about the man behind one of the most tragic assassinations in American history. BOOTH, which Walters will also direct, beings with previews on Wednesday, May 21 and runs through Saturday, June 14. Second Thought Theatre Co-Artistic Director Steven Walters announced today the first public reading of BOOTH, the brand new play by Walters with story and research assistance from Erik Archilla about the man behind one of the most tragic assassinations in American history. The reading will take place on Monday, December 9 at 7:30pm in Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus. Immediately following the reading, KERA's Jerome Weeks will lead a conversation with Walters, Archilla and members of the cast and audience about the play.

Sarah Jaffe is thrilled to be joining fellow Texans Midlake this December for a few weeks of US shows kicking off on December 4th in St. Louis, MO at Old Rock House. The three week trek comes as Sarah starts work on her third full-length studio album due out next Spring on Kirtland Records. Second Thought Theatre announced today that the next production in its ninth season is Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph. Joel Ferrell, Dallas Theater Center Associate Artistic Director, is making his STT directorial debut with this play, a story about life-long friendship and unfortunate injuries.

Dallas Theater Center hosts the fourth annual Skokos Learning Lab Showcase, the culmination of the Ted and Shannon Skokos Learning Lab collaboration between DTC and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTW), on Saturday, April 27 in the Studio Theatre at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. The performance is free and open to the general public. No tickets are required.
